Hello
I am 4+5 weeks pregnant today, I've had sore boobs since a week before af was due, aching in tummy and back and a definite 'full' feeling, a few days ago I had some pinkish spotting on wiping (sorry tmi) and the only thing I feel now is sore boobs I definitely 'felt' pregnant before and now I just don't 😭 I've got a scan at epu when I'm 6+1 but it's just so long to wait!
Please can anyone give me some reassurance i'm driving myself crazy!

Didn't want to read and run. Sorry you're going through this. It's really scary. Symptoms can come and go, some people have none at all. My main symptom in my first trimester was sore boobs. Also had spotting at 5 weeks, I'm now 15 weeks. At my first scan baby was measuring so small they thought my dates were wrong and there was no heartbeat visible due to how early I was. I had to wait 2 more weeks to find out if the baby had stopped growing. I found comfort in the knowledge that there was nothing I could do, the outcome would remain the same. Thoughts with you OP.

I had spotting at 6/7 weeks so immediately rung my midwife who wasn’t remotely worried and said it’s usually implantation bleeding. I had sore boobs but that passed and I didn’t really have anymore symptoms till maybe week 10 ... so I totally get what you mean about not feeling pregnant but it’s okay, a lot of women don’t have major symptoms! I’m now 22wks +2 with the smallest bump in the world but the baby is perfectly healthy ! So hang on in there and congratulations on the baby x

Try not to worry too much OP (sorry, I know a lot easier said than done!). It could possibly have been implantation bleeding?

My symptoms (sore boobs, major morning sickness and nausea, bloating) didn't really kick in until I was about 7/8 weeks fully and even then I had times in my first and beginning of my second trimester where I felt completely fine for a few days and then the symptoms would come back all at once and it was fine (currently 40+5 with DS and also had spotting earlier in pregnancy).

Having a scan at 6 weeks plus is a good thing, often if it's carried out any earlier it can be difficult to find the sac and baby if it's not big enough yet (I.e. if you implanted later than you thought). Using the dates from your last period is only a guideline at this point. Having a super early scan can cause a lot of worry that's unnecessary on top of the worry you already have, so do try to hold on in there.

I guess best advice would be to try and keep yourself busy, do some things that you enjoy and help you relax. I hope your scan goes well for you Flowers

Hi ladies, thankyou so much for your stories it really did help.
I had my scan last week and there was a baby with a heartbeat flickering away... the tears were flowing! I had some more spotting yesterday but rang and they didn't seem concerned as it was only on wiping (tmi) and not fresh blood or anything so keeping everything crossed. Definitely planning on booking a private scan before 12 weeks, I didn't realise how inpatient I was until now!

I'm so glad your scan went well OP Smile if the scans make you feel reassured definitely go for them when you feel the need. I had quite a few private scans in my first and second trimester to try and beak up the time between the nhs scans. As soon as I felt DS start kicking too around 18 weeks that also really helped.
