Still no symptoms at 6 weeks - a bad sign?

With my last pregnancy I was absolutely knackered and slept all the time, and felt sick most of the day, only slightly relieved by food.

This time I'm six and a half weeks in and nothing. I'm tired, but the toddler doesn't sleep, so I'm not convinced that's a symptom! I know all the websites say 'every pregnancy is different', but is it not worrying to have no symptoms when last time I did so strongly?

Any advice/stories welcomed!

I am the opposite lol ....

First pregnancy - no symptoms at all; had a small bump at 12 weeks
Had a girl

This pregnancy; sickness, extreme tiredness, fainting, no bump at all and I'm 17 weeks

I think it is true that every pregnancy is different so not to worry Smile

I'm sorry you feel rubbish! Fancy sending some of that sickness this way to reassure me? Wink

Both pregnancies my sickness kicked in around the start / mid of week 7. On my one pregnancy that resulted in miscarriage I started to get a bit of sickness and then it went away, I thought maybe it was a girl ( as already had a boy with lots of sickness) but I had a big bleed at 10 weeks, but seems the baby stopped developing at 7 weeks. I have had a girl since and the sickness was same.

I had a private scan at 7.5 weeks on my third pregnancy to check everything was ok after previous miscarriage. I think at about 7/8 weeks they should be able to see a heartbeat.

I had no symptoms, hence me not knowing for 14 weeks, i was fine.

My friend had no symptoms with her 1st,now with her second she was really sick.
If you are genuinely worried go in and get checked, its better to be safe.

Nothing started till around week 7 for me.

you are saying exactly what i feel @numberthirtytwoWindsorGardens!! im proper worried as didnt feel much last time either other than tiredness and sore boobs and had a MMC at 11 weeks. now just over 6 weeks and boobs slightly sore if i poke them but thats about it....just bloated, but get IBS anyway so can always explain that!
rang EPU at weekend as had (sorry if TMI) pinkish discharge but lovely nurse tried to reassure me and i also said about lack of symptoms and she said she didnt get anything until 7 weeks with hers. so here is hoping. im just counting days down til about 8 weeks when gonna book an early scan. and in the meantime trying to stay positive and be glad i dont feel horrendous. good luck :)

With my first I had lots of symptoms, second time round I had no symptoms or very brief mild symptoms and it is worrying, I’ve never wished for sickness before that. But I’m now 38 weeks today, just very different pregnancies

Jellington · 13/01/2021 11:10

I had nothing at all with my first. This one and my last one I’ve just felt a bit queasy but not until 7 or so weeks. No symptoms can be totally normal for some.

numberthirtytwoWindsorGardens · 13/01/2021 11:27

Thanks so much for all the reassuring comments.

leftitlate37 and apricotjamandbutta, I'm so sorry for your losses.

Tigger said to go in and get checked - but will they do anything this early? I'm not even sure a heartbeat would show up on a scan!

Ah well - just got to be patient (good practice?!). Thanks all Flowers

I was convinced something was going to go wrong as I had no symptoms and had had 4 miscarriages. I didn't get any symptoms til after 8th week he is now an hilarious 7 year old .

Scaredykittycat · 13/01/2021 11:29

I had the same with my second. My midwife told me it’s because your body knows what it’s doing this time, lol. I have no idea if it’s true or not
