How long did it take to get your GTT results?

I have my GTT tomorrow, this is my third pregnancy but first time having the test as my mum has recently been diagnosed with diabetes. Baby is measuring on the larger side and I’m wondering if it could be down to that (or could just be because DP is 6’5 and very big built).

I know with COVID I’ll just be going in for the one blood test - when do you get the results for this roughly?

I had one a couple of weeks ago, the appointment letter said that you would hear either later the same day or the next day, but not sure if this would vary by hospital. They also said you would only hear from them if your result was abnormal, so basically no news is good news. Never heard back after mine so I'm assuming my results were normal!

@Riggles78 thank you! I’ve just looked over my letter to see if it said anything about the results but it doesn’t so I’ll wait and see what they say tomorrow!

Yeh it’s pretty quick. And if you call your midwife they’ll usually be able to see on the system within a day or two

I had one in each of my pregnancies. Both times they said they would contact me if they needed to, but if I didn't hear, all was fine. Usually at my next midwife appointment after my gtt she would mention that it all came back fine.
