Hi Everyone,
I'm just looking for some reassurance really after 2 losses.
In my first pregnancy I lost my son shortly after birth due to pprom. He was born at 25wks but I had ppromed way before that. After having a consultation I was told that there was no reason for my future pregnancies to be unsuccessful (for the same reason).
I then got pregnant again 3 years later, this unfortunately ended in a stillbirth at 35 weeks last year (2020) throughout this pregnancy at around the halfway point my son had started measuring small and I was later told that I had fetal growth restriction as my placenta was ageing prematurely. I have a post-mortem done as I believed that my placenta was the issue, however during my consultation, the consultant could not pin point what exactly had caused the stillbirth.
On the Monday I had the whooping cough vaccine and a part of me regrets this, Tuesday I had a scan and CTG- all was fine with movements, heart rate and blood flow and Thursday night my son was kicking away as he usually would before I went to bed and then come Friday there was no movement at all, and no heartbeat.
My care plan for future pregnancies will be to take folic acid 3months before and into the pregnancy as well as a daily dose of aspirin from the 2nd trimester as well as regular scans and close monitoring throughout.
I'm desperate for my rainbow but petrified by the thought of losing another baby.
Does anyone have any similar stories in relation to any of the above, subsequent pregnancies following fgr, prescription of aspirin following a stillbirth etc?
Sorry for the lengthy post.
