Anyone moved areas whilst heavily pregnant?

Due to a combination of circumstances, it looks like I'll be moving house and areas at about 30 weeks pregnant. I've not yet asked the midwife how this works in terms of transferring to a new NHS trust and wondered if anyone had any experience of this? Obviously it's not ideal but it is what it is...

I just phoned the GP in my new area and explained the situation, I saw the midwife about 3 days later, that was it really. I guess it depends on how areas do things.

I moved area when I was 38 weeks pregnant 5 min away from the local hospital. I was told to self refer to this hospital using a form online, but I ended up giving birth in the hospital that had been in charge of my care up until then (30 min away) because it takes a while for them to process your info.

It probably depends on your area, I would give your local maternity unit a call and speak to your midwife.

I moved 70 miles when six months pregnant. Transfer was pretty smooth, just had to get signed up with new GP new quickly.

Hi @Tillyfloss1 - I’m in the same boat, I’m 28 weeks pregnant and am hoping to move in the next month to a completely new area. Can’t offer any advice but it’s good to know there are other people in the same situation!
