What was reduced movement like for you?

I’m currently 27 weeks and have been starting to get into some kind of pattern of movement over the last 4 or so weeks. But for about 4 or 5 days I’ve not felt as much movement during the evening/through the night.

I’ve spoken to my midwife about this as I still have regular movement throughout the day so I’m not particularly concerned, but I’m interested to know what your experience of reduced movement was?

Was it not feeling the baby move at all for a period of time? Only feeling a small amount of movement when you usually feel lots at a certain time? Did your pattern of movement change?

It’s so hard to know what’s ‘normal’ and I know baby’s have quieter days but it doesn’t help with anxiety!

Any examples of what other women have experienced would be very appreciated.

Any change in pattern ie moving less is considered reduced movement and should be checked out straight away.

I went in twice, once because I had felt no movement and once because I had felt very little movement one morning when usually that was when she was kickiest by routine!

I’m not sure what it’s like now with Covid but can you go to the walk in unit? Always follow your gut and if you think somethings not right, or different, then get it checked out. X

As PP said. It's any change in pattern to what has been normal for your baby, even if you are still feeling them
