Hello! I am around 6 weeks pregnant and already suffering with all day nausea and vomiting. I figure that it is just going to be about taking it day by day, and seeing what helps in each moment.
Today for me, it is lying down very still and sipping on water.... Envy

Yea sometimes lying down for me is the only thing that works!
Luckily i am working from home, so if I really need to I can just take 10 minutes!
Nauseous but no sickness yet!
Hope you're having a better day!

@moonlightstarlight sorry just figured out how to tag you 🤣 yes hope you’re having a better day chick. I am today, kept down my breakfast so far still and a drink so having another drink now. Go us! I’m working from home too and it’s great but sometimes I need to admit when even that is too much on that bad days and I cannot juggle - so far I haven’t but if I have another day like yesterday I may need to take some time off and admit defeat. Keep going Star

Hi ladies, how are you doing?

@Sleepyjeanie sorry to hear you’re feeling rough too!

I had to take a sick day today, feeling so down. Had an awful night, nausea really ramped up yesterday evening to the point I had my head in a bucket for an hour because vomiting felt imminent. I didn’t sleep til 2 and woke up every hour to be sick, from half 7-9am I was retching. Since then felt sea sick and vomited a few times. Haven’t eaten yet and have just had my first sip of water. Honestly I feel so miserable, I’ve got work to do and I just want to get on with it but feel so floored. I can’t imagine weeks more of this.

Sorry for the self indulgent moan, I’m grateful for the pregnancy and I know sickness is considered a good sign, it just gets tiring.

X

@Thisisbananas3 oh no, that's sounds awful Thanks keeping my fingers crossed that it eases off for you soon.

I'm hoping I can hold off without having to call in sick. I have a few days of annual leave left to take, so I might make use of them to have a few days in bed!!

@moonlightstarlight yeah annual leave is a good shout, my holiday year started this again on the 1st and I’m trying to hold off so I can take a big chunk before my mat leave starts!!

How have you been today? Hope okay and you’ve kept your food down! I’ve managed a banana and a slice of toast. Hoping tomorrow is better.

X

@moonlightstarlight @Thisisbananas3 how are you ladies doing today? I barely slept last night. Feel like I’ve got pregnancy insomnia which is making my sickness worse. Feel so sick today Confused

Good morning!

Oh no, that doesn't sound good!! I look forward to bedtime as I get to feel better!

I've been on and off, it's constantly there, and then comes on really strong and various points throughout the day. Have been keeping food down though!

@moonlightstarlight how are you doing? Thought I’d check in. I had a bad weekend but have started keeping a food diary and managed to find some triggers etc. Basically I’ve cut out everything processed and just have plain food. Hopefully this works but you never know when it might strike again! I’m 11 weeks now so hoping it might get a bit better but don’t want to jinx anything! 🙏🏻 Hope you’re doing okay x

moonlightstarlight · 14/01/2021 15:34

@Sleepyjeanie hi! Thanks for checking it. How the food diary going? Have you noticed anything yet??

I've gone from not being able to eat to the opposite, after about an hour of eating, I feel so nauseous and need to fill my stomach up again!!! Craving lots of carbs though, so not too healthy. I need to try and eat some veggies!

@moonlightstarlight hiya! That’s alright it’s nice to chat to someone about it who knows the situation and understands! Food diary has been great, I’ve found processed foods and sugar really trigger it as they upset my stomach but eggs and carbs have really settled it. After four days of the same routine foods, and eating every 1-2 hours, I’m now snacking on some veg, and trying to be a bit healthier! It’s working I think as my blood sugar isn’t dropping. Try granola as it’s really helped me stay full for a bit longer. Dry though can’t have milk as it makes me vomit straight away!

Is there anything particularly working for you? I also have a piece of toast at 9.30pm so my stomach is full-ish when I go to bed x

moonlightstarlight · 14/01/2021 16:45

That's good! It's good when you do find some foods that you can tolerate.

Toast is definitely a good one for me, have managed to put some marmite on it too. I'm quite in the mood for some apples, and I think I'm going to brave some broccoli with dinner!

Have you been taking the folic acid vitamins? I've been really struggling with those. I'm trying to do it at least every other day, and last thing before I go to sleep.
