faint line on pregnancy test

im 18 and have just done a clearblue pregnancy test and there’s a really faint line indicating its a positive.
i have stupidly come off my pill a few months back and have been having unprotected sex with my boyfriend and missed my period... i usually have a regular cycle.
me and my boyfriend are long distance and i saw him from december 3-7 and i usually come on my period around the 18th.
just want to see if people think i could be pregnant or not

Depending on your cycle you had sex around the right time, and if there's a faint line then it's likely positive. My advice would be to get a first response test and see if that comes back positive. How are you feeling? Are you doing alright? I know it probably feels scary but things will be okay! x

im so so scared. i have more tests coming on tuesday.. not sure if i should take one then or wait a few more weeks

I'd say take one when it arrives, the line will only get darker if it's positive. I know it must feel soo scary. Remember whatever happens, you have options. Do you have a good support system? Does your boyfriend know anything yet? x

Well you might be but you might not. I have done the same ones and also have a faint line. See this one was a week ago however I have continued to take more with other brands and they say negative..
When is your period due?

Sorry see you have missed your period. I think the test should be darker if you've actually missed it.

i have a good support system and my boyfriend is really scared but is helping me through it all. i have tests with pink dye coming so hopefully they’ll show me clearer! xx

Yes I read about pink dye ones being more reliable. The clearblue ones can show a faint line even if the chemical (can't remember what it is) is too low. It's almost just a stain really.

How come you came off contraception and then started having unprotected sex though?

It is possible you could be pregnant. Take a FRER with your first morning urine as soon as you can, that way you have time to decide what you want to do. Remember that your have three choices, keep the fetus, adoption or abortion. Only you can know if your ready for this or can support a child. Have you got anyone in real life you can talk to for some support?

Definitely possible that you could be pregnant OP. Just remember it's your choice what you do if you are pregnant. The line on the clearblue I would say is positive to be honest - that is what all of my first pregnancy tests have looked like and I've had 4 pregnancies. It could be darker if you've missed your period but your cycles could still be unpredictable if you have come off the pill. I can also see colour in the line so I don't think it could be an evap line - however clearblue can give false positive evap lines something.

I had my first baby at 19 and found out I was pregnant at 18, and I'm fine ! But ever situation is different.

Well you have been having unprotected sex, of course you could be pregnant. Was that what both of you wanted but now you are not sure ?

so now im bleeding quite abit.. maybe my periods just come realllyyy early because of my missed one in december?

I would say possibly your period or a chemical pregnancy. See how you go on, you might just have your normal period now but I would still take a pregnancy test when the bleeding stops fully to confirm that there is no pregnancy x
