Hi everyone,

Wondering if anyone can give me some ideas for what to wear to work. I’m a nurse so usually wear scrubs, never had an office job ever, but I’ve been redeployed and am now doing some clinic work til 28 weeks. It’s not overly formal, I wore black trousers, trainers and a jumper the other day - but the trousers are old and were soooo uncomfortable by lunchtime so definitely won’t work for much longer! I’m 18 weeks with quite a bump and just started wearing maternity leggings, so I was hoping to think of some outfits around them to save me having to buy lots of smarter stuff that I just won’t use again - but I feel a bit sloppy in them and am quite conscious of walking round with my bum out. It would be good to keep wearing my trainers as I’m on my feet a lot. How can I smarten up my leggings?

Sorry if this is a daft question!

Thanks x

I have just started WFH but during my last few weeks at work I lived in leggings and tunic style tops. Not even maternity ones just cheapos from primark and i felt so comfy

Leggings and tunics, jumpers, long dresses is what I wore. Comfort all the way!

I wore stretchy maternity dresses and threw a leather jacket open over them. That would look good with trainers. H&M had some good ones and I also had a couple from Seraphine.

Black maternity jeggings and tops/smart-ish jumpers.

There's such a thing as treggings (trouser/leggings) I stumbled across them on h&m website while buying maternity leggings (to replace my tight scrub bottoms!) and jeans this week. Not a clue what they're like and I had to google the term! Generally the pregnant women I've worked with have worn leggings and a dress/long jumper. I wouldn't worry too much as long as you're comfy.
