I am currently 18 weeks and haven't felt any movement yet. This is my fourth pregnancy so I would have expected to feel something by now, right? I have a scan in 4 days so hoping everything is ok. Anyone else not in their first pregnancy not felt anything at around 18 weeks?

I didn't feel my second baby move until later than 20 weeks. This time around I had a high anterior placenta so it was at the front that cushioned things. that might be the case?

Skyla01 · 02/01/2021 11:12

Maybe you have an anterior placenta? I think 18wks can still be quite early for movements.

I felt my first at 15 weeks and didn't feel my second until 20 weeks!
Ever baby is different so can be completely normal!

My third was exactly the same. As @HoneyWheeler says, my placenta was at the front so I think cushioned everything. My midwife told me lots of people don’t feel anything to 20 weeks.

Ok that's reassuring. I'm sure I felt it earlier with my other babies. I can wait to feel it again, as this will be our last baby and I just want to feel it for as long as possible 😍

I only just felt my third at 20 weeks and that Is with a posterior placenta x

I'm 22 weeks with my second baby. My first I felt at 16 weeks. I still don't really feel much now.

I’m also 18 weeks OP with my 3rd. I may have felt the faintest flutters a few times but think it’s actually my tummy rumbling! So nothing really too... Desperate to feel something but do seem to remember it was nearer 20wks with my other 2.
