Feeling really poorly after flu jab and whooping cough jab

Has anyone else had the flu & whooping cough jabs and felt really poorly afterward?
Had them on Tuesday, my arm is very red and bruised, nothing like I have seen before with these jabs. I woke up yesterday morning feeling extremely ill, very dizzy, constant headache and I feel exactly the same today.
Not sure if it's related or not? Confused

Most people on here will tell you it’s not related. But it probably is.
Just rest up and drink lots of fluid. Hope you feel better.

Haven't had the whooping cough jab yet but I had the flu jab on 23rd, felt OK apart from a bruised sore arm but by the evening of Christmas day I was feeling rough- really woolly head, really sore throat, couldn't stop sneezing, etc. It lasted a couple of days but by the morning of the 28th all symptoms had vanished. Again could have been coincidence and I may have been about to be ill anyway but I think it was the jab. Just rest as much as possible like pp said and you should be fine in a few days.

I had them both the beginning of December and I felt fine in myself but my arms were dead and painful like I've never experienced. I had hot, red, hard lumps in my arms for over a week. I put it down to the quickness she injected me but not sure if I had a reaction.

Thank you everyone Smile I don't remember ever being like this with DD1.
When she did mine they bled quite a bit, she said it was unusual for them to bleed so much, they dripped from near shoulder all the way to wrist before she could even get something to wipe it with!
I have an 18 month old so resting isn't much of an option unfortunately! Haha

When I got whooping cough this time, she warned a reaction is more likely than normal because I had it about 2 years ago (when pregnant with dd). I just had a really sore arm...

Queenbee95 · 01/01/2021 09:09

I had them both done at the same time. The arm I got the whooping cough in was very sore and achy for days. I couldn’t lie on it/touch it at all. And I also had a constant severe headache, it was awful. Hope you are ok

I felt fine in myself but the arm I had the whooping cough in was red and swollen for days, I could barely lift it and it was very hot to touch. I don’t remember experiencing that when I’ve had it in previous pregnancies but this time was really quite painful.

Could be coincidence or could be an immune response. Drink plenty of water and take some paracetamol CakeBrew

I felt exactly the same with my flu+whooping cough jabs. I had to take off the day from work and sleep it off and felt tired/achy/feverish, felt fine the day after though. My arms hurt for 3-4 days. Hang in there OP xxx

Thanks for everyone's experiences!
Feeling a little better today but still have a horrible headache and feeling light headed Sad
She did both of mine in the same arm, still bruised and red but the pain is slowly going!

This was me 4 weeks ago. I got my flu jab ages ago with no issues but my whooping cough totally floored me. I was an absolute mess curled up in the corner of the sofa and couldn't handle anything/anyone touching me. I was totally fine last time I got it so I was really surprised. I have survived though 😁.

I felt a bit under the weather after my whooping cough jab. Only for a couple of days.
