Hi guys, how many bags did you end up taking to hospital? I’m trying to fit everything into a cabin size suitcase and a carrier bag with snacks.

I took a suitcase and a backpack and I had my carrier bag of snacks in my backpack.

I have a cabin suitcase and the changing bag has all the changing bits plus babies first outfit.

It's called a hospital bag as in singular 😂

what are you planning on taking?

I took a suitcase. Didn't use most of it and was there Tues to Sunday. Definitely keep snacks 😀

I took a gym bag for me and packed some bits into the changing bag for ds.
I definitely over packed, but I have form for that.

Not packed yet for this one but with my last one I had a d eecent sized hold all for my stuff, a changing bag for baby, and a rucksack for my husband's stuff.

😂 I’m trying to fit my stuff, baby’s stuff and OH’s stuff into the small cabin size suitcase. The nappies and pads take up lot of space.

  1. One for clothes and one for the rest of the crap like pads, nappies etc

2 - suitcase for me and backpack for baby. No visitors on ward when I had DD so you had to take everything with you when you went in.

A tip I've picked up is to have a bag in the car. Tricky with COVID but if you need extra stuff the car might be closer than home x

serialplanner · 31/12/2020 07:28

Or you don't have to prep DH for more stuff!

I took cabin suitcase with all my things in and used changing bag for all baby’s things. I felt that I was overpacking but knew I was having to stay in at least 24hrs. I took more pjamas than I felt I needed to but worked out well in end as vomited badly in early labour (had induction) so was good to have plenty spares.
