Today marks me at 14 weeks pregnant, my horrendous nausea has vanished (for now!) I’m feeling more like myself and my energy levels are slowly increasing again.

How many weeks are you, and how are you feeling?

@savanahnana yup! Third baby here also and just compared photos and I’m at a similar ‘bump’ stage to 20w withy first and 16w with my second 🤦🏻‍♀️

horsey92 · 29/12/2020 16:24

7 weeks today and the morning sickness kicked in 2 days ago. Haven't been sick today 🥳 have bought some travel sickness bands and I think they're helping.

Feeling very run down but then I have been feeling like that for 3 weeks now, added bonus of now getting a cold 😭

PowPurry · 29/12/2020 16:32

27+1 today. Amazed at how quickly it’s going but also how long I seem to have left!
DC4 and definitely the last so trying to make the most of every second. I adore being pregnant.
I’m having a relaxed day today as little one has been moving loads, but this pregnancy I’ve been so anxious over lots of things.

Such a lovely thread Smile

Loved reading through how everyone’s been feeling at certain stages!

Have many of you found out what your having yet? I’m comparing this pregnancy to how I’ve felt with the previous 2 and guessing girl by how rough I’ve felt, but obviously I know I could be wrong!

@WalkingMeAway I feel fairly big already and kind of dreading how big I’ll end up Grin I’ve even dug out the maternity clothes already as couldn’t stand how uncomfortable my normal stuff was feeling.

I'm finding out what I'm having on Sunday (3rd) so will be interesting to see boy or girl, with my ds I had nothing from start to finish, baring abit of indigestion from 26 weeks, whilst with this one I've had everything, and felt so different, I'm carrying alot different too so everyone is saying girl, but I still think boy, we shall see!

StaceImpactWfan · 29/12/2020 18:14

37+3 and not feeling too bad. Baby is in awkward position which is uncomfortable. But in hospital until my section at 38+3 due to low birth weight and posterior placenta previa.

I had a Harmony Test a few days before Christmas and we opted to find out the sex so just waiting for the results which should hopefully be in just a few more days! It's my first so nothing to compare to and I have no preference, but I have a strong feeling it's a boy. I couldn't tell you why though!

37 weeks today...
For so many years I didn’t feel like my dream of being a mum could ever come true, so reaching full term today feels incredible.

I can’t deny it tho, I’m ridiculously uncomfortable, getting about 4-5hrs sleep on a good night, can’t walk more than 15 mins without pelvic pain making it impossible, forever needing to pee and being almost constantly kicked and shoved by a baby who has no respect for my internal organs 😂 my feet, legs, hands and face are swollen to the point I don’t recognise myself. I seem to have outgrown most of my maternity clothes. Luckily in tier 4 there’s no need for appearing presentable and looking clown-like in DP’s XL pyjamas is completely acceptable 😂😂 Omeprazole is incredible for reflux, total life changer!

Today my bump measured just on the 97th centile (used to be a size 8, didn’t expect a big bump at all) and my blood pressure has been coming up a little high - midwife says it’s high enough to monitor more closely but not so high to be a concern just now, so I just have to go in for more appointments.

Wouldn’t change it for the world tho. My baby will be here soon and there’s nothing that’s not worth going through for that 🥰

Loving reading bits of all the different stages, there’s so much I recognise looking back!

LouJ85 · 29/12/2020 20:15

@Sweetpea12

Don't worry about moaning - pregnancy is bloody hard work!

Definitely ask your GP about something for the nausea, I was on different combinations of medication until something worked.

Hope you feel better soon x

savanahnana · 30/12/2020 07:29

@Fairywings123 that’s why I think I’m carrying a girl! My DS was the smoothest pregnancy you could of imagined, felt absolutely fine and normal the whole way through. With my DD I felt exactly how I have this time round, constantly nauseous which thankfully only happens at odd times now, completely drained and so many migraines. Will be very interesting to find out if it is down to having a girl!

At the moment I’m loving how full and thick my hair is again, although I know all too well how that will change after birth! Sad

How exciting that there could be some births on here fairly soon!

Is anyone suffering pelvic pain? I did with previous pregnancies but it seems to have started early this time. I’m dreading it as I couldn’t physically even turn over in bed before without my DH helping me. And trying to walk after getting out of bed in mornings or getting up from sofa used to be horrendous. I fear as it’s already starting I’m going to be in for a lot worse this time round..

26w4 with a girl and feeling good.
Had a rough time around 24w with itchy skin, sleepless night etc but suddenly everything fixed itself and now i feel in a sort of honeymoon period 😇 except for the SPD which can be a bit of a problem when moving.
But since i am a FTM i was expecting worse at this stage, so not complaining!

MSG92 · 30/12/2020 08:32

@savanahnana I am feeling anxious beyond belief. 2nd pregnancy, 1st was MC. I'm 11w3d and my symptoms vanished (mostly) about 2 weeks ago. Used to feel sick nearly all day now barely any nausea, boobs aren't sore, I'm no more tired than before I was pregnant so I am half expecting to go to my 12w scan and find out its an MMC. I did see the heartbeat at 7w5d as I was so nervous because of last time so we paid for a private scan, but since these symptoms have gone I can't relax.

I had covid weeks ago as well so my smell is barely there, I could smell everything when I first found out.

savanahnana · 30/12/2020 08:42

@MSG92 Hopefully it’s just a case of your symptoms easing of, it seems around the 12 week mark a lot of people do seem to start feeling better. I know how you feel though, I had a miscarriage before this pregnancy and it does make you extremely anxious. I also was expecting the worst at the 12 week scan but I was worrying for no reason. Have you got much longer until your scan?

OP posts:
MSG92 · 30/12/2020 08:53

@savanahnana my symptoms stopped around 9 weeks, I've had the odd day here and there feeling nauseas but it used to be 16hrs a day. I have 6 more days to wait, I'll be 12w3d because of NY etc. DH is very anxious too, it's hard to watch, he comes home from work and asks how have you felt today, any sickness, and I had a bit of discomfort in my left side yesterday and he said is that bad, is something wrong. We just don't know, this is new to both of us and I just want to know what's going on...!!!

savanahnana · 30/12/2020 10:07

@MSG92 It is all very nerve racking when you’ve had previous bad news. With my son I didn’t have any symptoms at all so I was constantly worrying. I have my fingers crossed everything’s ok for you. At least your scan date isn’t too far away, although I know it always feels like a life time away when your waiting!

OP posts:
Sweetpea12 · 30/12/2020 11:24

The wait between scans is awful I was scanned at 6+6 then paid for a private one three weeks later and next have my 12 week one at hospital January 8th. Trying to remain positive is only advice I have I genuinely feel like paying for every scan going lol

katie416 · 30/12/2020 12:10

hi everyone Smile I’m new on here, only recently found out I was pregnant only a couple of days ago & the anxiety has already started in full force. I think I’m about 5 weeks + 3 (never been pregnant before & haven’t seen a midwife yet so I don’t really know what I’m doing haha) I don’t really have any symptoms apart from a few cramps & mildly sore boobs which seems to have subsided now, none of the ‘textbook’ symptoms really & I’m worrying myself sick something is wrong. I have an urge to go out & buy more tests but I’m worried I’ll take them & they’ll be negative Sad did anyone else have these worries or anything similar?

savanahnana · 30/12/2020 16:50

Congratulations @katie416 everyone’s symptoms can be so different, like me with my DS I had none, and with my next pregnancy I had every symptom going to a while! If you makes you feel better doing more tests then go for it! I do loads with this pregnancy to begin with as I was nervous from a previous miscarriage. I did help put my mind at ease

OP posts:
katie416 · 30/12/2020 16:59

@savanahnana thank you! congratulations also Smile I did end up taking another test, a digital, so I was definitely sure of the result & it was positive so I do feel a bit better now. I'm glad you say you were the same as that makes me feel lots better that other women also have the same anxieties! I spoke to my mum about my concerns as well and she said she had no idea she was pregnant with me as she had no symptoms either, she didn't believe it till she saw me on the screen at her first scan! I think when you find out you're pregnant you think you'll get all the symptoms along with it, but that's not always the case. thank you again for your reply, wishing you a happy & healthy pregnancy 🥰

Fairywings123 · 30/12/2020 18:23

@savanahnana thats it with me too I had a loss before this pregnancy so I'm worrying all the time about everything! Plus had nothing with my ds, but every symptom with this one! Flowers

Cordial11 · 30/12/2020 19:18

6+5 absolutely shattered but also have insomnia. Back acne and around my chin is awful!

savanahnana · 30/12/2020 20:23

@Cordial11 the tiredness is just a whole new level of exhaustion isn’t it!? At 14 weeks I’m not feeling as shattered but I definitely function better if I get a sneaky afternoon nap in, if not it’s a early night for me!

When does round ligament pain tend to start and does it generally just feel like a rubber band has snapped inside you? I've had a couple of twangs this week but I'm 12 weeks, is that normal? I also randomly had a twinge or two higher up near my ribs 🤔
