How long did it take to TTC #2 if you fell pregnant quickly with #1?

Hiya, in a 2ww now and my anxiety is catching up with me. Just wondering what to expect. I conceived my 1st when I just turned 29 in (literally) one go. V lucky. Wondering if I can pretty much expect the same this time or does it vary? I'm 32 now and about 10lbs heavier otherwise not much has changed. Curious if it took a long time with #1 if it did with #2... short time if you fell easily etc. Also were you tracking with OPKs or other fertility methods or just not preventing? Much appreciated xx

We were really lucky & fell really quickly with DS1 within the 2nd month of trying, although the first month we didn't try that hard haha, we found out just before my 28th birthday. With DS2, I was 31, it took a bit longer, about 4 months (which still isn't that long in the grand scheme of things!) funnily enough the month we fell was the month we had barely had much chance to see each other, let alone dtd due to work etc in comparison to the other months, so I really wasn't even expecting it when it happened!

Didn't track ovulation or use this ovulation kits either times, although I did track my periods on an app. My cycles had been pretty erratic when we were trying to conceive 2nd time around in comparison to the first time. Good luck! x

Sorry I was 30 when we were trying second time around, oops!

Bloody hell can tell it's late it was just before my 29th birthday we found out first time around & then I was 31 when I fell second time 🤦🏼‍♀️🙈 shame it's not easy to delete/edit your posts on the mn app!!

I came off the pill and got pregnant pretty much immediately with ds1. Ds2 took three months.

One cycle with condoms Blushboth times

  • 22 & 25
  • Lots of sex vs not a lot of sex
  • Barely heathy weight vs very underweight
  • No meaningful tracking but I'm vaguely aware of my body because I have irregular periods so it's all I have to go off
  • Not really on any vitamins either
  • Breastfeeding stopped my period till 22 months but got pregnant after that first one.

DP wants a vasectomy after this one, he's got a point tbh.

Fell pregnant within one month with dd, one missed pill was all it took with ds and two months with current baby. Dh will be having a vasectomy once this one is born.

I was 28 when I conceived dd, 29 when I conceived ds and am now 34.

We got pregnant with our first after one try.
Currently 38 weeks with our second after 5 weeks off the contraception - no apps or tracking just a moderate amount of spontaneous shagging!
I'm older too, was 36 with my first and almost 40 when I conceived this one.
I put it down to just luck and DH's super sperm! :)

First cycle of trying for both pregnancies. Incredible really as I have PCOS and super long cycles so always assumed it would be difficult! We did have sex every other day throughout the cycle though and I used OPKs.

6 months of ttc with my first age 20, 6 weeks of ttc with my 2nd, age 34

Lucyloo51a · 28/12/2020 17:38

2 months with first, 1 month with second (ectopic), 8 months with current pregnancy

kwastell · 28/12/2020 19:00

Got pregnant in the first month of trying with our first. Took 3 years, 3 miscarriages and a load of medication to conceive our second (that I'm now 26 weeks pregnant with). Hope it's easier for you ✨
