Hey guys, I'm an essential worker and currently in the midst of a coronavirus outbreak at my work. I'm 20 weeks pregnant and having an emergency test ( tested weekly anyway ) as I've got some pretty serious symptoms. Has anyone had coronavirus whilst pregnant and what was your experience? As you can imagine I'm petrified

Hi op, I hope your test comes back negative, fingers crossed. To reassure you, I do know a girl who had covid while pregnant. She had flu-like symptoms and stayed home, took some paracetamol (as advised by her doctor) and the symptoms disappeared eventually. Baby very healthy and the pregnancy carried on as normal X

I tested positive, earlier on in pregnancy though i was 8ish weeks. I had cold like symptoms stuffed up, runny nose, fatigued etc along with loss of taste and a slight temp! I managed it easily at home and informed maternity I had tested positive. All is fine with pregnancy and there is no evidence to suggest that coronavirus effects pregnancy or that pregnant woman or baby are at any more risk. Try not to panic. Just take care of yourself.
