Experiences of spotting/bleeding

Hi,

I’m looking for any stories of either reassurance or general experiences of bleeding in early pregnancy.

This is my second pregnancy and I did have on/off spotting and light bleeding with my DS (now almost 4). This has been different - a lot more spotting and some days with a heavier red flow which lasts an hour or two before stopping. I had a scan on Wednesday which showed a yolk sac and a small haematoma. My dates put me at 6.5 weeks but the scan suggested more like 5-5.5. I do have long and irregular cycles so I wasn’t too shocked by the shift but aware I need to prepare for bad news.

I’m going back on Wednesday to check for growth/viability but I’m just so nervous. It feels different this time and I don’t feel as positive.

I think what is making it slightly worse is the family group chat at the moment is filled with one relative and her morning sickness/gender reveal/excitement/updates with every midwife appointment. I should be happy for her but it’s just constant baby talk multiple times a day. I guess I’m just posting here to ask for experiences as I can’t really ask anyone irl!
