Hi all....as the title says really.....where is everyone shopping for maternity wear, given half the shops are closed due to covid or gone into administration!
Any good online recommendations that are actually true to size? Don't want the hassle of buying multiple sizes and having to try and send loads back!!
Thanks!! Xx

I bought some stuff from new look that was nice. SmileIt might just be the area I live in but I actually found that there wasn't much in store pre-COVID (I had my baby in 2018) so I had to buy most of it online anyway.

I bought lots of mine from H&M and GAP. Most places stopped selling maternity lines in store a while ago.

My local New Look got rid of their tall range and maternity section in favour of a fake boutique style section with lots of 'brands'.

Most shops don't stock maternity wear in them and haven't for years. But everyone sells it online

Sainsbury TU range have some good basics online
NEXT obviously And also do quite a few of the "label" ones
Seraphine - expensive and only really worth it if you think you'll spend the next 5 years pregnant and having babies so you can get the wear out of them
New look
H&M
ASDA

I'm having twins so even maternity wear doesn't fit now - I've managed to get through this pregnancy with a pair of over bump leggings, over bump jeans, 2 vest tops which are also nursing ones, a hoodie and a couple of long sleeve tops.
Invest in a non maternity long cardigan/waterfall cardigan so you can use when/if you breastfeed
You'll get more wear out of clothes if you get ones that are maternity AND nursing ones

I got loads from boohoo and now getting nursing stuff from there too

Jeans my go to for last time and this is next. I buy them second hand on eBay because I’m cheap and refuse to pay out for something I won’t get a years wear from! I find them pretty true to size.

snowy0wl · 27/12/2020 22:13

I mainly wore ordinary clothes in larger sizes. I pretty much lived in M&S stretchy leggings and baggy tops. Empire line is your friend. It’s worth buying a couple of maternity bump bands. They will allow you to wear your ordinary trousers for a bit longer. I found Jojo Maman Bebe maternity jeans fitted well. If you don’t mind second-hand there are normally some bargains to be found on eBay.

My mum got me some stuff from TU Sainsbury’s for Christmas. I got some bits from ASOS, different brands such as Mamalicious jeans (in the sale), also some stuff from Boohoo (cheap basics). Got some things in store at New Look- a winter coat reduced to £14.99, a skirt for work. Also, surprising recommendation is jeans and leggings from Lidl!

SallyCinnamon3009 · 27/12/2020 22:26

Got most of mine from ASOS as they did a relaxed fit t shirt and everywhere else sold things that cling to your bump.

I'm tall and finding jeans has been a nightmare. Found that ASOS did tall ones (they aren't very nice) and after a recomendación on Mumsnet I bought some jeans from River Island. I didn't mind paying a bit more for some jeans I really liked and I'll just sell them on eBay once DS is born.

Topshop and H&M tend to have maternity in store but everywhere else it just seems to be online only

TheFoz · 27/12/2020 22:37

I got a few bits from Seraphine, not overly impressed with the quality for the price I paid. The leggings are a bit too light and joggers are starting to bobble. Cargo type pants are very comfortable but very long, I had to get them taken up, but I am only 5’2”!
ASOS are ok.
Gap very happy with the few bits I got there.
Next I got a pair of dressy black trousers, very comfortable and good quality.
I think that’s the only places I’ve gotten stuff. I’ve heard the jeans from River Island are great and Boohoo's quality is rubbish.

Iwonder08 · 27/12/2020 23:47

I think Seraphine was the best one. I tried Asos, H&m.. Mostly not great

480Widdio · 27/12/2020 23:51

Frugi, all their clothes are designed to be worn after birth as well.

LillyLeaf · 27/12/2020 23:55

I didn't buy much, only a pair of jeans and leggings from asos. I found that a lot of my normal clothes fit for ages. I was heavily pregnant in the summer so most of my baggy summer dresses fit fine right until I had the baby.

PFin · 28/12/2020 00:28

I get most from ASOS. Theres really limited choice tbh im glad we are in lockdown atm so its all comfy clothes. I have the 4 or 5 of the same maternity leggings and floaty tops and jumpers. Alot not maternity just a bigger size!

MariaDingbat · 28/12/2020 11:41

Next maternity jeans with elasticated sides were brilliant along with the super comfy Dorothy Perkins maternity joggers. I had 2 pairs of each (1 black and 1 navy) and wore them nonstop since week 22. I had a section 5 weeks ago and am still wearing the joggers almost everyday!

Skyla01 · 28/12/2020 13:40

I haven't bought very much at all. I'm fortunate to have hand-me-downs. I've also been working from home so spend a lot of time in leggings / joggers / DPs old jumpers. I bought a few new items from George @ asda. The fit isn't always great but can't beat the price & I really didn't want to be spending a lot of money on ill fitting clothes I'll only wear for a short time. Picked up a cheap bundle of maternity clothes on gumtree too. And as a pp said don't write off your normal clothes- floaty dresses / tops / tunics might fit you fine.

bubblesforlife · 28/12/2020 14:02

HM has some nice stuff online.
ASOS has some nice stuff.
Seraphine has nice stuff guy very expensive.
Danny dyer has a range out, can’t remember which online store....
Love Leggings for leggings
New look
Boohoo, but if I’m honest, quality very poor.

I personally bought primark a lot! Bigger sizes all the way!

Oneandabean · 28/12/2020 17:39

H&M were best for jeans, next we’re ok. Love leggings were the only leggings that weren’t see through (I tried several)
Avoid boohoo, bad quality, thin rubbish, it’s cheap but not worth it, most hasn’t lasted a month.
