Fear I won’t know if I’m in labour 🙈

Ok so this is my 4th baby I’ve never had my waters broke on my 1st I had an emergency csection then my other 2 were sections. I’m 37 weeks tomorrow but my bump has dropped that much my palvis hips and lower back really hurt when I walk. I’ve got a dodgy stomach and feel like crap. I’m really worried I won’t make it to my section date next week but more panicked I won’t know if I’m in labour 🙈🙈

Please tell me this is a normal feeling to be thinking this lol

You will definitely know, there is no mistaking it! Good luck

HollyandIvyandallthingsYule · 25/12/2020 22:40

You’ll know.

Wishing you well!

sproutsnbacon · 25/12/2020 22:43

You’ll know. I felt the same with ds. Then second time round thought how will I know again. You just know but it is a common worry.

Fuckingcrustybread · 25/12/2020 22:47

Yes, of course it's a normal feeling, if you've had c sections before then it's understandable that you'll be a bit concerned.
As your bump has dropped considerably and you have a dodgy stomach, your body could be getting ready for Labour.
As pp have said and I'm going to add, you'll definitely know, I'm sorry not to be more helpful.
I wish you all the very best

Sickoffamilydrama · 25/12/2020 22:48

As others have said you'll know. Congratulations on your impending arrival.

TildaTurnip · 25/12/2020 22:57

I didn’t know really. The doctor and midwives weren’t even sure until I was 9.5 cms.

However, I did have a feeling I was. Nothing I could put my finger on (no pain etc) but something. So my advice is to believe yourself.

Sickoffamilydrama · 26/12/2020 18:41

Yes definitely listen to your instinct, I'm a very quick labourer and have not been believed first two time when I said I was pushing, last time I had a home birth which was very quick as well.

BertieBotts · 26/12/2020 18:42

You'll know! It doesn't always start with waters breaking.

Hahaha love all the you will know comments. Induced with my first and I was worried with my second I wouldn’t know I was in labour.

Turns out I didn’t 🙈🙈😂😂

I was 7cm when I was checked I rang about alittle bleeding and some mild cramps but it wasn’t anything like being induced. So I honestly didn’t think I was in labour.

This is what I’m worried about, my sister went without knowing and I know a few others that never made it to hospital 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️ I’ve only got to make it till Wednesday my csection date now Christmas is over I’m not going to move of the sofa lol

@AlaBetMin I will keep all fingers and toes crossed baby stays put till Wednesday, not long to go.

My friend had a planned c section and they went into labour and had time for a c section still. Hope it all goes well!

Sounds like a good plan to rest up and i most definitely knew I was in labour towards the end 🙈🤣

Good luck tomorrow, OP!
