Telling family - what to do!

Currently 15 weeks.

In a tier 2 area so was planning on telling everyone tomorrow when over for Christmas Dinner (3 households is pretty much all our family so all good)

Dh has now tested positive for covid! So now we're all self isolating and obviously not having everyone round for dinner. Luckily at the moment he's not feeling too bad and is pretty much staying in one room leaving me and other dc downstairs.

Not sure what to do. Were thinking of doing a video call with everyone to tell them, depending if dh is feeling well enough .

But also thinking maybe we wait a few weeks and tell everyone when we can actually see them (even if it's on doorsteps/outside etc) but that could be weeks away!

I would do a video call; with both my pregnancies I’ve told family on the phone as we live a distance away and it would fee odd talking to them but not telling them this massive life changing news

I think it would be nice to do a video call. It will help to cheer up your family at the fact you can't join them for Christmas. It is of course your decision though. Hope your DH feels better soon and you stay healthy.
