I am 16 weeks pregnant with twins. I've been experiencing lower back pain for a while, but it seems to be getting worse as the weeks go on. I have a 16 week appointment tomorrow, so I will discuss it with my midwife. The pain is really getting me down today. Could it be SPD?

I am disabled and I have some chronic pain conditions. I am used to being in pain, so I'm not sure why I am finding this so difficult to manage. I am not able to take some of my usual pain medication during my pregnancy, and the meds I can take need to be used sparingly. The pain is making me feel so miserable.

I can do some gentle stretches, but I'm not able to exercise due to my disability. I am a wheelchair user.

I don't have cramping or bleeding so I'm not worried that the pain could be a sign of miscarriage. I'd be so grateful for any tips to help with the pain.

I'm 31 weeks with twins now but from around the same time I had terrible pain in my back/hips/pelvis if I did too much walking/standing etc - it's just the extra strain carrying two babies is putting on your body. Sorry to say it doesn't get any easier x
