BLOOD in mucus - should I panic?

Just been to the toilet and wiped and in the mucus there was deffo blood. I was worried sick yesterday as had a feeling something was wrong (metal taste in mouth had gone, no sick feelings or anything, didn't feel pregnant). Now I have a slight dull ache like a period and waiting to see if any proper bleeding starts. I'm so worried. I think I'm about 5/6 weeks so not far gone but having gone through a mc in the past, I can't help but get worked up!

Anyone had this and been ok?

Sorry, tired and probably didn't read that right.....did you say you had pink when you wiped to start?? How far gone are you now? I'm 6+2ish. I've had an internal scan before so sort of prepared myself for that . Will let you know how it goes

Just realised this thread didn't mention that after the dark blood in mucus, the rest has been PINK blood. Just thought I'd make that clear in case any thoughts?

no further thoughts looney - except will be thinking of you tomorrow - will try and see how are you later in the day - dd is at a part all afternoon so not around much.

I have looked at your thread - good for you trying to do something about it!! Mind you I think you did the right thing cancelling journalist today - you need to be on top form with a journalist around!

Looney- sorry to hear you're going through this but am glad your doctor is on-side and looking after you. will be thinking of you tomorrow.

I had this at 5ish weeks and again at 8ish weeks- the latter accompanied by a complete loss of symptoms. Was petrified as had mmc earlier this year, but luckily all was ok.
they couldnt find the source of the 1st bleeding, the 2nd they thought was a capilliary bursting due to the placenta being stretched.

Really hope its good news for you xx

Bellie - thanks Bellie and yes, I'm pleased that I got BBC interested but I don't feel 'with it' enough to say all this on behalf of some of the childminders on Mumsnet etc - all a bit too quick as it was without all this going on!

torres - thanks so much. So, did your pg symptoms disappeared too but all was ok? God, I hope that's the same for me!

Will update you tomorrow

Thanks. They couldn't see baby but could see a gestation sack and yolk sack. They said it's measuring 5+5 and they wouldn't be able to get a heartbeat until 6+ weeks. I've got another scan next Friday and they'll know for sure because if it still measures the same and no heartbeat, they'll know the baby didn't make it. Otherwise, fingers crossed, there will be a slightly bigger sack and a heartbeat. Now I've got to try and not think about it for a week otherwise I'll go mad!!! Oh....blood pressure is low and she said it will get lower (if pregnancy ok) as I get further on so I have to be very careful getting up etc - explains why I nearly passed out the other day when tidying the playroom!!

The fact that there is a gestation sack and a yolk sack inside is a brilliant sign I had my first scan at 5+2 and they only saw the gestation sack and thats it then went back two weeks later longest two weeks of my life!! and there was a little heart beat I am sure will be the same for you and it could quite easily have been implantation bleeding at such an early stage x

TLSM - I sooooo hope so. It's so worrying when you don't know!! I just wish I hadn't had symptoms and they'd gone but fingers crossed it's because I'm off work this week and therefore not rushing around with the kiddies etc (some people on the anti-natal thread said when they relaxed their symptoms went)
