Just want some sleep!

I just want a decent nights sleep!!
I'm only 6 weeks but I haven't had a good nights sleep for 3 weeks. I dream every night and end up waking up from 5ish onwards so I'm just getting up early and watching telly.

I wake up and then just can't get back to sleep 😩 so I'm just so tired!

Any good ideas of getting a decent sleep?! I'm not working for a couple of weeks now so I have the chance to have a lay-in.

I have a nine month old baby and I’ve only started getting a decent sleep the last few months (and that’s with cosleeping...)

I wasn’t prepared for the pregnancy insomnia and tbh it never really went. I found that afternoon naps were the only way to manage.

A mug of Camomile or rooibos tea before sleep might help, but don’t over do it. I’m on my last trimester now and also can’t get much sleep, more due to needing to pee a lot.
Apparently peppermint tea would keep you awake, so go easy on peppermint during the day.
Good luck on your pregnancy hope all goes well for you x

I went through this in first trimester. Couldn't sleep later than 5.30/6ish 😫i think because I was so tired I was asleep by 8.30! Second trimester did improve and now I'm just into third trimester I'm managing to sleep til after 8, sometimes 9, which is bliss 🥰🥰 (how annoying is it when you tell someone you're not sleeping and they think it's hilarious/original to say "wait til the baby is here then you'll know what it's like to not sleep" 🙄🙄🙄🤣)

Hey!

I've been going through something really similar. I'm about 11 weeks and have been waking up anywhere between 3.30am and 5am pretty much every night for a few weeks now. Luckily for me, it doesn't really affect me during the day so I haven't felt too tired... It's just a bit frustrating.

I've done some googling and apparently it's quite normal at this stage due to hormones. I think for me it's also because I read a little bit about not lying on your back (I think that's later on technically but it's lingered in my mind!) so I'm super sensitive to how I'm sleeping as well, if that makes sense.

I can't really complain though as it's one of the very few 'proper' symptoms I've had, so I think I've been really lucky.

Hope you get a good night's sleep soon! X

Right there with you! 6 weeks and I wake every morning at 4am and cannot get back to sleep. Since I've been off work this week, I've just been staying awake, walking my dog at 8am and then coming home for a nap though today I slept from 9am til midday and ready for another nap now! The sickness is getting worse so just tiring me out... But the only time I don't feel tired is about 7am for an hour 😂😂 don't really have any remedies but would love to hear of any x

I did sleep in until 8 o'clock this morning, which has been a first in ages!! I'm just struggling to give myself some downtime, mainly because I'm someone who literally will just keep going because I know when I do stop I'll feel rubbish (OH hates how I can't stop😂). I had a lie down watching telly this afternoon but couldn't doze of.

Luckily I haven't had much nausea yet, I've had 2 occasions where I've woken up gone and sat down to watch telly suddenly gone really hot and thought - I'm gunna be sick, run to the bathroom stand there take a lot of deep breaths and it goes away. I'm hoping it's because I'm quite active all day so I don't have time to think about feeling sick, not sure how long that can last though 😅

@horsey92 I unfortunately live on the top floor with smokers below and if any doors are open and I get a whiff of smoke, I'm straight away retching like mad.
You should take the time to relax because I'm sure once you're back at work you won't be able to. I keep wanting to do things but then remember that I'm now in tier 4 and obviously not allowed so I've started an impossible puzzle that is 1000 pieces of minion faces 😂😂 keeps the mind busy 😂😂
