Hi so I was told on Friday I’ve polyhydramnios I also have Gdiabetes I’m 36 weeks pregnant and due to go into hospital tomorrow for steroids and have to stay in over night then I go back in on the 30th for my csection.

Has anyone got any experience of having polyhydramnios? I’m really struggling to walk the baby feels so low and my stomach is rock hard it’s uncomfortable to do anything. Any advice would be really grateful.

Hi!
I had polyhydramnios with my son - it was quite the spectacle in theatre.
I was in the hospital for 1 week before he arrived at 39 weeks. That was precautionary in case of spontaneous labour.

Please let me know if you’d like anymore details.

Sorry, I've just seen I've posted my message on completely the wrong thread. Many apologies.

I had it massively with DD, really scared me but it turned out she was a big baby (9'11) and absolutely perfect.

I was able to.go to the fetal wellbeing unit at my local hospital twice a week for non stress tests up until I gave birth but other than being very uncomfortable it caused no problems at all. I'm not sure if it was due to GD, I was never tested to it was never picked up if I was.
