To bring on labour?

Nothing can bring on labour except a hormonal drip. Home remedies are just wishful thinking. Believe me, I tried everything. You just have to wait it out and let it happen. Rubbish, I know. I was overdue and it was the longest 4 days of my life.

DC1 - I went into labour less than 24 hours after eating a curry
DC2 - sex!
DC3 was early!

None. I tried them all except sex. I was 42+3 when they induced me and it still took 3 more days and a c section.

Sex and orgasm - the only two theories that have any scientific basis. DD was a week early after I'd been for a long walk, bounced on my ball and did the two above. Not sure if it was coincidence or not - who knows!

Sex has been proven to help as sperm has the same thing in as the induction pessaries they use at hospitals. It helps soften the cervix ready for labour. Nipple stimulation also has some scientific reason behind it.
Clary sage can help bring on contractions.
The ones I’ve mentioned might not bring on labour as such, they’re more ways to help your body get ready to go into labour. If your body isn’t ready labour won’t start no matter what you do

Baby will come when it’s ready!
