Cramps aren't going away

My lmp was 10th November, I started getting cramps around 8th December exactly when my period was due, my periods can be slightly irregular so I wasn't shocked when period didn't come. I had cramps every day so finally done a test on 15th and it was positive! 2 days on my cramps are still as strong as they were over a week ago i can't stop thinking my period is going to come this is exactly how I usually feel before my period ☹️
I didn't have any cramps with my first and I also don't have any other symptoms at all right now?
Should I expect the worst?

Try not to panic. Cramps can mean more than one thing. I ended up having a scan at 5-6 weeks with my DS because the cramps were so bad and it turned out it was a normal symptom of early pregnancy. DS is 4 y/o now. Cramps can also mean miscarriage, which I’ve also been through, and I appreciate you’re no doubt concerned about, but there’s not a lot you can do about preventing one, so try to put it out of your mind, as much as possible and deal with what comes up as it comes. Take folic acid and look after yourself in the meantime and good luck and repost here if you need further advice or support. If the cramps get difficult to manage without paracetamol, seek medical advice.

I had exactly the same thing when I found out I was pregnant. I was sure my period was coming and they were usually pretty consistent but I got a positive on my first day of missed period. The cramps lasted for 2-3 weeks then began to ease. I now have a 4 month old baby. Try not to worry and congratulations!

With dd, my cramps used to get so bad they would actually wake me up. Until 9/10 weeks. She's asleep upstairs right now though, so all was ok.

The cramps aren't bad enough where I have felt I need pain relief so maybe I'm just being a worrier and a bit of a drama queen 🙈 if I keep active and busy I don't notice them at all, think our brains play pricks on us sometimes
