Pregnancy insomnia struggle

Hi ladies,

I’m 9-10 weeks pregnant with baby 2.

I haven’t been sleeping well at all. Most of the time it’s because I can’t get into a comfortable position. Every sleeping position feels uncomfortable after a few mins. This feels unusual because in my first pregnancy I only became physically uncomfortable at the very end of the pregnancy. It pretty much started from the moment of conception but in the very early days I put it down to hormones/excitement of baby and I was waking up to pee. But that’s no longer the case.

Has anyone experienced this? I am so exhausted I could cry. I’ve probably slept for a max of 4h each night this entire time. It’s getting to the point it’s impacting my ability to think which has a knock on effect with my work.

And during the day ... from W morning to night I have nausea ( no vomiting but intense nausea).

I feel so miserable, I don’t know how I can continue this for another 7 months.

Did anyone else experience this? How did you overcome it?

Thanks in advance,

This has been me!!!
I'm only 7 weeks with my first baby - for the last 4 weeks my sleep has been awful, coupled with feeling generally exhausted and shitty!

I have a week off work and it's helped as I've forced myself to stay up later and try and sleep in a bit more.

Before I was going to bed at 10 and waking at 2am and unable to get back to sleep. How I'm hitting 5am which isn't great but much better!

I feel so uncomfortable and bloated so I wonder whether that's not helped either!

Hopefully someone will be along soon with better advice :-) xx

@Twinkle1989

I’m so sorry you’re in this insomnia struggle too. Hopefully someone can shed some light on it for us.

I honestly don’t know how to cope with any more of this Sad

I had this too - really nauseous (also vomiting daily) and would wake around 4 or 5am feeling sick and be unable to get comfy - gassy stomach cramps etc. Now 18 weeks and has gradually improved over the last month. Didn’t get this at all the first time round!
