Flu jab affect blood test results?

I’ve just been and had my flu jab done and the nurse failed to mention until afterwards that it can affect blood test results for the following few weeks. I am having my 12 week scan and blood test on Tuesday.

Has anyone had any experience of this/know if it will be a problem?

I’ve read a lot on the NHS website about their guidelines for various pregnancy related things but this was the first I’d heard of this.

Thanks.

I would also be interested to know this as had my jab Friday and bloods at first appointment on Tuesday

I’ve never heard that and I’m a doctor. Exactly what blood tests do they think it will affect?

I don’t think this will effect you .. we had flu jab offered for people having scans etc?

I guess your white cell count could increase slightly but nothing that would be particularly clinically significant. I’m a midwife and it’s not something I’ve ever been aware of.

Thank you all for your replies, very reassuring. The nurse wasn’t specific about exactly what results could be affected. I’ll still mention it to the person who takes my blood next week, just in case.
