Blocked nose remedies

For some reason in the evenings I get a blocked nose and really struggle to breathe. I struggle with breathing through my nose anyway (something to do with it being so narrow)

I used to get it after drinking but obviously I'm not drinking now, so not sure what's causing it.

I'd normally be using my vapostik thing but I don't think that can be used in pregnancy? Guess that means vaporub can't be used either?

I just want to be able to breathe 😭

Try the Calpol vapour plug in.

@horsey92 you can use the normal menthol stick thingys! I'm the same can't breath properly! It's the sinex and Sudafed decongestant sprays you can't use, xxx

@horsey92 I found sterimar a godsend when I had a stuffy nose during pregnancy. Have a chat with the pharmacy to make sure you get one that is ok. Certainly cleared my nose. There are also some reflexology points under your toes if you have a google and someone to give your feet a run

Steam showers at night. Or the good old fashioned towel over your head over a bucket of hot water.

Can you use the infant vics rub while pregnant? I thought it was all natural, but it’s been a while since I used it.

There are some antihistamines you can use while pregnant, I had to had some prescribed during one of my pregnancies. Maybe speak to your GP or midwife.

Steamy shower and make sure you blow your nose fully then.
I also use a saline spray before bed and elevate my head slightly higher than normal with a bigger pillow.
