6 weeks and sore armpit - reassurance

Hi there

Currently 6+2. Third baby. I have no lumps, change in breast, colour etc.... but have a really sore left armpit. It’s perhaps slightly swollen but very slightly. I used to notice it when I got my period. Has anyone experienced this? I only noticed it when I had my period after DD2.

I experienced this around 4-8 weeks pregnant, it went hand in hand with sore and bigger boobs. There is a lot of breast tissue around the armpits as well as the breast and everything can get a bit tender and swollen. Mine went around 10 weeks when those early symptoms such as sore boobs disappear as placenta takes over.
Obviously if nothing changes or it gets worse get it checked out but I think it’s fairly common in pregnancy.

Iv had this all 3 of my pregnancies and it gets quite bad but only when I'm pregnant.

I got it all fully checked and it's just breast tissue in the armpit. Mine can be so painful! But co insides with growing boobs, pregnancy and milk production.

Mine usually goes after pregnancy and after I stopped breastfeeding. Mine had a lump in each but as I said all checked and scanned etc and it's just part of pregnancy, in my situation anyway!

I'm sure all is fine, but get checked if your worried xx

Are you under the weather? Not pregnancy related but I get a sore armpit if I’m fighting off a nasty cold or similar virus - it’s happened since I was a child. I assume there’s a gland in there. It’s very sore for 2-3 days when it happens

Thank you so much for your replies. I saw a GP today who said she thinks it’s from fighting a viral bug. I’ve had a horrid cold (not Covid that was negative thankfully) but I feel so run down. Also have a cold sore which is unusual for me. It’s sooo sore tonight though. I noticed it sore when I had my period before TTC so also wonder if it’s hormone related and like you say, connected to sore boobs while pregnant.
