Clearblue says 2-3 but I'm 4 weeks 4 days?

My last period was 11th nov which would make me around 4 weeks 4 days. I took a clearblue weeks pg test today because me and my partner are really anxious at the mo and it came back saying 2-3 weeks. Is this a sign that my hcg levels aren't as high as they should be? All of my dye tests were coming up very strongly - even on opks. Should I be worried?
I've had mild af type cramping since the beginning, no spotting but having lots of clear discharge. Boobs and nipples are really sore, but they always are anyway due to pms! Upset tummy - Diarrhea which I found strange as the hormones I thought were supposed to make you feel constipated! Am I overthinking things?

It doesn't go higher than 2-3 so you're fine :-) x

Clearblue digitals are confusing because the weeks it gives is based on ovulation (approx 2 weeks after period) not your last period so 2-3 weeks on one is 4-5 weeks pregnant so bang on for your dates 😊 no need to worry!

boymum88 · 12/12/2020 17:40

They work from conception not from ur last period so, always add two weeks to the cb tests x ur dates are right for the digital

Stop taking pregnancy tests! It’s literally flushing money down the toilet and will not tell you anything you don’t already know

CheeseSammich · 12/12/2020 17:43

Phew! Thank you. I really need to stop worrying so much 😅 I'm overthinking every little thing since finding out x

I know, I'm just worrying too much and feel the need to take them to reassure myself that everything is ok

But they’re not reassuring you, they’re panicking you more and thus having the exact opposite effect than the one you’re looking for. Honestly, you’re pregnant. Step away from the tests.

Twinkle1989 · 12/12/2020 18:32

These tests do go higher - the next stage is 3+ which I bet will be when you're around 5 weeks (it was for me) so try now to flap. It's nice to see them progress though!

Aprilbaby21 · 12/12/2020 19:40

Sorry but the poster that said it doesnt go higher than 2-3 is wrong, it does (it even shows that on the pack)
However, i showed 2-3 Weeks at 5+3, i went for a scan the next day and it showed a sac and yolk sac.
I stopped testing at that point as it was causing more harm than good.
Im now 23 weeks pregnant.

Sansa87 · 12/12/2020 19:59

Positive tests tell you you’re pregnant. They don’t tell you everything is progressing or okay.

I know that sucks, but they are evil. I had a mmc back in July. I got positives 4 weeks later still, including 1 week after the surgery to remove our baby.

I went crazy testing, & spent a fortune. I did get pregnant straight away, & I made sure not to test anywhere near as much.

If you aren’t bleeding, & don’t have cramps, then try to see that as the result you need, lovely.

Make sure you do speak your midwife about your anxieties at your booking appointment though, mine has been amazing, & let’s me text her day or night if I have any worries.

Sorry this has turned into an essay, but I’ve been where you are and it sucks. Big hugs x

As above your clearblue is bang on dates. They should really make it clearer on the packaging as so many people panic!

StaceyW87 · 12/12/2020 21:08

Oops sorry guys I didn't realise x

ivfbeenbusy · 12/12/2020 21:40

I didn't get 3+ until 5 weeks and I'm Having twins so your test is perfectly normal at this stage

PFin · 13/12/2020 03:13

Dont rely on the weeks on them tests. I took one which came back negative, took another one a week later and it said I was 3+ 🤨

MsHedgehog · 13/12/2020 09:35

The weeks are based on conception, not how many weeks pregnant you are. If you’re 4-5 weeks then it would show 2-3 on the stick.
