Anti-D Antibodies

Really looking for some advice/hear other women’s experiences with Rhesus Disease/Anti-D Antibodies.

Currently 31 weeks into my 2nd pregnancy and it has only just been picked up that I have anti-d antibodies and been sensitised. Although previous blood tests didn’t show this, only after my 28 week test did it come to light.

Midwife says it’s very rare to happen and will have regular tests to check on the levels and take it from there, although doesn’t stop the worries taking over! I wanted to see if anyone else has had experience of this - I have never missed an Anti-D injection and have always had extra injections due to placenta bleeds.

Thanks

Hi @maddikat I am in the same position with 2nd pregnancy. I was sensitised at some point in my first pregnancy and was monitored closely from 28 weeks. The levels went fairly high but baby was totally fine. I am now pregnant again and this time round it could be more serious.
