Is it normal to lose your mucus plug over days and days?

Im 37 weeks and have been losing my mucus plug, most times I go to the loo, for the last 3 days. Is this normal? It's quite a decent amount each time, I just didn't think the plug was that big?
Also, does this mean anything is about to happen or could I still be waiting for labour in 4 weeks? No blood in it, just yellowy snotty mucus.

It can happen over weeks. I've been losing mine since 29 weeks. It is quite big and does regenerate to a point so can go on a while. Any concerns always call the midwife ☺️

I've only ever lost mine when in labour (x4 babies) always a big lump of snotty mucus streaked with a bit of blood 🤮

It can definitely be the start of something don't get discouraged, just keep relaxed and do some oxytocin increasing activities x

Yes sadly it can replenish itself! I had a few sweeps before my due date with my second and lost SO much plug but nothing came of it.

A good rule if thumb is if it is white or clear then it could still be some time before labour. If it is pink or otherwise tinged/streaked with blood you are likely close to labour :) Or at least closer than you would be with a clear plug!
