Morning sickness and acid reflux - which foods and drinks did you stop eating?

Almost 7 wks and struggling with morning sickness and acid reflux. I'm swigging gaviscon like crazy and would prefer to bring it down a bit.

So curious what foods and drinks others are avoiding to help with this.

Anything tomato/orange based? Fizzy drinks? Spicy food? Marmite?

I have way more food and smell sensitivity this pregnancy. Has anyone else found this link with the acid reflux?

Thank you

Avoided anything milky tea/coffee or anything fizzy. Even dilute juice was too much after a while!

Alas, I subsisted almost entirely on barbecue-flavour Hula Hoops for months at a time. Sorry.

Hi OP I haven't suffered with nausea but the acid has been terrible. I'm now 39 weeks and it has been hell in my 3rd trimester. Like you, Gaviscon is my go to however I find eating later in the evenings makes it worse and I also try and stay away from garlic, spice and anything heavily caffeinated like fizzy pop/chocolate as that brings it on too.

Have you spoken to your GP about this? They may be able to prescribe something for acid reflux and nausea. It is horrible having to deal with these symptoms. If it helps to know, I am taking Omeprazole for acid reflux, and promethazine hydrochloride for nausea, with a top up of cyclizine when needed.
