Follow up scan after hospital visit

Currently 28+6 and last night baby wasn't kicking and nothing I did made it move. Rang the hospital and went in to be checked. Hooked up to a monitor for 20+ minutes and baby's heart rate was fine and of course it then decided to wake up and start moving/kicking.
Afterwards I asked if I was free to go and the midwife said I had to wait for a doctor to see me as they want me back have an ultrasound ASAP. Has this happened to anyone else? If everything was ok, why the extra ultrasound or is it just a routine thing? Hospital rang this morning at 9am and I'm back in on Monday morning so a bit anxious about the urgency.

That’s pretty standard at my hospital. They bring you back the next day for a scan every time you go in for reduced movements. I’ve been in 3 times and everything has been fine but they still do the scan.

Also, if there was any real urgency, they wouldn’t make you wait 4 days.

Thanks @Turtleturtle81, that's the reassurance I needed to hear.

Same here, each time I've been in I usually get a scan within a day or 2, they will probably check babies growth, fluid levels and blood flow through cord :)

I had lots of attendances for reduced movement, after each one I had a scan the next day. After I think my 6th or 8th attendance I had to see the consultant too
