My period was supposed to arrive yesterday, anddd it hasn't come. What has come is a lot of EWCM. I have the mirena (had it in over 18 months & all it's done is regulate my period to the day!). The mirena feels like it's on its way out & I have an appointment on Friday to get it removed.

I have lots of crampy backache, tested this morning but it was negative. I REALLY do not want another child. I'm 34, studying Law, working part time & have a 3 year old that potentially has autism. I'm feeling so confused & awful.

The back ache is the absolute worst, never felt anything like it before unless I was in labour. Has anyone had EWCM without a period and not been pregnant? Don't really know what I expect to gain from this post, I guess I'm just ranting.

Thanks
Em x

I’m not sure I can help but I’m in the same position today, with a late period and Ewcm and really not sure how I would cope if I am pregnant. However a quick google reassured me that ewcm is pretty common before a period. I would say your back ache was a bigger issue and if it is as bad as you say (like Labour) then I would be getting it looked into as it could be an eptopic pregnancy. If it is really bad call 111 or your local early pregnancy and acute care unit.

Hey

Again, not sure I can help.

But, I'm in possibly a similar situation. I'm 27, with an 8 year old. I am currently in my first seat of my training contract in a commercial firm and doing my LPC alongside it and found out I was pregnant 3 days ago!!!!!

Shocked and kinda unsure about everything how - especially as I'm so close to finally qualifying!!!

Ewcm can be a sign of ovulation, you may just be ovulating late

Tiredtiredtired100 · 02/12/2020 22:01

@NinaJames that must be a real shock, i hope your partner is being supportive as I know (from experience, sadly) that unexpected pregnancies can be very difficult for everyone involved.

@Tiredtiredtired100 very big shock! He is over the moon and being uber supportive / possibly a bit smothering too though. It hasn't sunk in yet - possibly why I'm taking a test everyday to see if the second line doesn't show - which it does every. time.

Things happen for a reason though, so will remain positive (and tired from it all!!)

Thanks for the replies, I'm hopeful I'm just ovulating superrrr late. I've done another test this morning which is still negative so I'm just going to relax and hope my period arrives in its own time.
