When should I have had my dating scan letter or appointment?

So according to lmp I'm 12 + 3, I had a scan at 7 weeks which confirmed I was week behind but I knew that as my cycles are 32 days at least, I had my booking appointment at 8 weeks, but still haven't received my 12 week scan, obviously I know things are slower due to covid, but was just wondering if should know when it is by now?

@lab896 it does vary by area but I would say you should have this by now. I got mine a week after my booking appt but I know others have had theirs later. If based on LMP you're 12+3 I'd give your hospital a call to check. If you leave it too late I think they can't do the nuchal screening (assuming you want that).

By 13 plus 6 for nuchal x if later they offer blood test usually around 16 weeks

Nat4392 · 30/11/2020 13:18

Definitely chase this up. I had my booking appointment at 8 weeks and got a letter through for my scan 3 days later x

Honeydukesmum · 30/11/2020 13:18

I would call and check in system x

I'd call them, my midwife told me to call if I hadn't heard by 10 weeks but the voice message on the number said to call from 11 weeks+. Turns out the letter had gone adrift in the post but because I called I hadn't missed it. There should be a number in with your notes

Just ring, apparently none of my referrals I need have been done, they are getting a team leader to ring me back later to work out why etc, as I need referrals for consultant too!

I got mine about a week after my first midwife appointment. She asked what hospital I wanted then emailed them.

Lollol86 · 30/11/2020 17:45

@lab896 omg that's awful, really hope they have managed to sort this all out for you xx

lab896 · 30/11/2020 18:41

@Lollol86 I spoke to the lead midwife who said they will speak to my midwife at the doctors and see what went wrong, apparently she can see the referrals were made but the hospital hasn't received them, so no idea what happened, but they will ring me tomorrow to sort out!

I got given my scan date when i phoned up to book my midwife appt, got both letters about a week later, i think every area is different with how they are dealing in covid
