Hi all,

Just found out I'm pregnant with my 2nd child. I'm 41 and feel happy but also EXTREMELY anxious. We are happy and content with out first and financially secure but worry how we will afford brining up 2 if the early years.

Also with the year we have had I'm worried about things like redundancy etc. I started a new jib this Aug and am worried what my employer will now think of the news and possibly find a way to make me redundant. I guess that's my main worry. I know part of me is being silly but anxiety is really kicking in hard and I'm so scared.

Anxiety is normal in pregnancy, we’ve all found something to obsess about !
So, are you intending to breast feed ? If so, that saves a lot.
Do you have all the equipment and clothes from your first ? If so, that saves a lot.
Write a list of what you need and ask people to buy off that if they’re buying you a present.
An extra one really won’t make that much difference, it’s just disposable nappies that cost and so try cheaper ones from Aldi/Lidl as they are rated highly.
Regarding redundancy, someone will be along about that soon.
But just remember that whatever happens you will get through it.
Congratulations

Thank you, yes we have everything we need in terms of cot, clothes, toys etc. I'm hoping to breast feed, so should just be cost of nappies if establishing breast feeding goes okay (Any advise on what I can do to help establish this?)

I really think the worry is more steming from the anxiety of my job that scares me.

Thank you for taking the time to respond Smile
