What were you doing when you felt your first kick?

Just that really, wanna hear your stories!

1st baby i was driving in the car and was sure i felt something! Then that night i felt it again at around 18 weeks, second i have not got a bloody clue as i'm still running around after dd1

I was on the phone to my brother. Loud speaker on and phone resting on my belly.
That was the first proper kick

1st baby I can’t actually remember ! But it wasn’t until I was 23w (anterior placenta) and it was 12 years ago.

2nd baby I was 18 weeks and I was on the Euro Tunnel!

I have no idea!

Think I was 19 weeks, at a boxing day gathering and was sat eating cheese, got four kicks in succession :)

Sat on a bus, wasn't sure so when I got to work I had to wait a while to confirm what I was feeling

Lying on a sunbed on a gorgeous white sandy beach in the Caribbean. It was a lovely holiday visiting relatives but being pregnant made me extra sensitive skinned and I had to top up with factor 50 suncream constantly!

Sitting on the sofa watching tv (lockdown!) first time I saw one I was in the bath.

In the shower! It was like bubbles popping every day for a week in the shower at about 17 weeks then felt absolutely nothing until 21 weeks!

I was in the bath! Quite early actually, around 15 weeks. She also used to give me annoyed little kicks if I accidentally pressed my bump against something, can’t blame her really .

1st baby I was watching batman at the imax. Second baby I can't remember!

Very first one...Christmas Day morning. Dh and I laid in bed with his hand on my belly talking about how things would look very different next year. Suddenly felt what felt like a finger flick right in the front of my bump. Started crying and dh panicked!
Can't remember with the other two

DC1 - lying in bed, was 14 weeks and thought I felt something. I was 17 weeks before I realised what I was feeling.

DC2 - 13 weeks, lying in bed.

Teaching a year 13 class was mid sentence on a Friday afternoon and there it was. Lost my train of thought a little...

Halfway though a routine test on a patient at work...it was like a chain of bubbles moving up my stomach. Still remember that feeling clear as day after 10 years.

Lying down in bed eating porridge for breakfast, it felt like tiny pops or twitches. It was sometime 15-17 weeks I can't remember exactly anymore. I cried.

DS2 was after a run of 6 miscarriages.

I was 14 wks pregnant and lying down in a quiet room with my hand on my tummy hoping against hope he would grow and his little heart would beat.

Then suddenly I felt the little flutter. I knew it was him.

Absolutely no idea. With both DC the movements started with vague swirly sensations that might it might not just have been trapped wind, then gradually got more definite over a few weeks. I don't remember a defining "first kick" moment.

Cant remember with the others but this time I was at work, sitting in the office by myself doing admin. Felt a little poke and then didn't dare move as I waited and waited for the next one to make sure I hadn't imagined it 🥰
