Hello, I am currently 17 weeks 4 days pregnant. On Tuesday and Wednesday this week I felt baby moving for the first time. Then I had a midwife appointment- she listened to Baby’s heartbeat and said everything was fine. Since then baby stopped moving completely. I know baby is still very small but I am still anxious about it. On top of that I have a really bad pain in my groins. I called the midwife yesterday and was told it’s nothing to worry about and baby is still too small to feel it moving all the time. It’s has been 3 days now and not sure what to think? has anyone experienced something similar? Thank you x

@Booni I was exactly the same! I was told that you can't really feel a pattern in movements until you're 28 weeks. My baby would go through phases and some days would be extra active, other days she would be so lazy and I'd get myself into such a state.

In terms of your pain, have you drank enough? I always get pain when I'm dehydrated.

I'm now 31 weeks pregnant and baby moves every day. Some days she moves more then others but as long as I feel her at points through the day, I'm happy Smile

17 weeks is early to feel movement anyway. Don't worry.

I didn’t even feel my babies move til about 20 weeks. They so small at this stage, they have to be in exactly the right spot for you to feel them and they have loads of space to move.

@Snackasaurus @mooncakes @Lweji thank you Ladies Flowers I was told to call midwife after 3pm today if I was still concerned . So I called the maternity unit and midwife asked me to come in. She found baby’s heartbeat immediately. She was such a lovely lady and said that I should always call if I am concerned and they will always see me. I do know I panicked a bit earlier on today but I had a missed-miscarriage earlier on this year and I am very anxious about this pregnancy. Thank you again for your responses Flowers
