Has anyone had a misdiagnosed bicornuate uterus?

Hi all!
I'm 15 weeks on my 3rd pregnancy.
At my dating scan the ultrasound technician said it looks like I have a bicornuate uterus. Its on my scan report as 'appears bicornuate'.

I'm just surprised that nobody has mentioned it before despite having regular growth scans on my other two pregnancies. I've had countless scans.
I've checked my medical records and its not mentioned in any of the paperwork on my past pregnancies either.

I'm starting to wonder if she perhaps got it wrong.

I had preeclampsia and delivered at 30 weeks in 2018, so I'd prefer to not have to worry about something else on top of the risk of recurring preeclampsia.

Has anyone had anything similar?

Even if you do, it only causes possible complications when very severe (septate). Many women have one unbeknownst to them. It isn't something to worry about.

@physicskate ah I see. I didnt realise there was a severe form. Perhaps that's why its never been brought up - because it is mild enough to not be considered to have any impact.
I'll speak to my consultant next time I see her, but it makes a lot more sense now. Thanks for replying.

@Nia18 I have a subseptate uterus which was diagnosed on a scan at 5 weeks. The obstetrician could barely see it on my 12 week scan. I think it’s not that uncommon, it’s just only picked up on women who have early scans or who’ve been referred to gynaecology. X

I’ve got a BU, I had scans throughout pregnancy and was told that once your uterus expands during pregnancy it can be hard to spot.
