Hi all, loooking for some advice really. I had an mc in August, got a BFP this month, so much stronger than when I tested positive in July. Sunday through Wednesday I felt so sick, ran to the toilet a few times but wasn't actually sick, boobs hurt quite a lot, all that I expected, yesterday the nausea seemed a lot less and today it has gone completely, my boobs are nowhere near as sore, I'm so nervous after last time, could this mean I've lost it again? I had a funny feeling stomach yesterday, I wouldn't say painful but just not right and I've been generally unwell for a week or so as I had covid and am only just recovering. I have had a fair amount of stomach pain since I found out and before as I thought AF was coming before I tested. I've got my first MW appt over the phone in 2 weeks and a blood test in 3, I've called them before and lovely as they are they just say if your not bleeding your fine, but I don't want to get to my 12 week scan and find I lost it ages ago... Anyone been through this?

Have you thought about booking a private scan to put your mind at ease before your 12 week one?

Symptoms aren't going to be consistent and at the exact same level every day, nausea will come and go for most people, and the same for sore boobs etc. Nothing in your post stands out as something you need to worry about so maybe an early scan would help you feel more reassured.

Thanks @luxxlisbon that's reassuring. I'm trying to avoid a private scan just because this early on internal is better than abdominal which I'm not keen on and financially I am trying to save every penny to get us as comfortable as possible for when baby arrives, every little helps! And my nearest place is over an hour away and a nightmare to park. I think I'm just so scared as I haven't made it this far before, so every twinge or lack of symptoms I think the worse...

Easier said than done, but please try and relax. Your body goes through sooo much in the first 12 weeks, some days you feel really pregnant and sometimes you don't at all. I had a small bleed at 7 weeks and felt nothing, no sickness at all and went for an early scan to find that everything was perfect. I'm really sorry about your previous miscarriage, it will quite rightly so cause you to feel even more nervous this time round. Period type of pains can be and usually are completely normal, I got these around 4/5 weeks for a few days and then again maybe around 8/9 weeks. If you can afford to, you could maybe book an early private scan? NHS usually don't take you unless you've experienced bleeding and even at that I had to wait 3 days for an available appointment which was awful. Fingers crossed for you xx

As harsh as it sounds there really is nothing we can say or you can do at this stage that will make any difference. I do understand the anxiety. I had a miscarriage just before falling pregnant again with my dd.
Please try and relax.

As for symptoms I only felt nauseous for one weekend with both of mine and my boobs didn’t start hurting until I was further along.

@Amelia49 thank you, that's really helpful. I'm going to try and hold out... Even though feeling sick was horrendous, at least I thought everything was as it should be! I've got no smell due to covid whereas when I first found out everything smelt so strong, bad timing for me!

Hi, with this pregnancy I stopped feeling sick suddenly at week 8 and spent the day crying as I lost my last two at around this stage.

I did book for an early scan and at 8 weeks they didn't have to an internal scan - she found a heartbeat immediately and put my mind at rest.

Sickness came back the next day ...

Symptoms can come and go and after you have had a mc you can't help but worry so it's normal.

With the internals - I have had a few unfortunately and I have always been treated respectfully. You we given privacy to undress and cover up with paper etc so you don't feel exposed.
