Hi lovelies

I wondered if you could help me figure out what the bent line underneath baby is. Is it something that is of concern at all? I'm just slightly worried that there's something wrong 😕

Also whilst you're here feel free to take a guess of gender 💖💙💖💙

Can't see a photo, but did the person doing the scan mention seeing anything of concern? They're not a photo so things look funny and not true to life, if there was a problem they would have said.

I attached the photo just after posting, can you see it now? No she didn't say anything because she said it was too early to perform the NT scan as I was measuring 11weeks and not 12weeks, I'm going back in a weeks time to be rescanned. I just wasn't too sure what it was that's all 🙂

No there's no photo visible.

Firefliess · 26/11/2020 20:30

The edge of the baby? (The straighter line above it being something else?)

America5 · 26/11/2020 20:33

@Firefliess oh is it 😂 I thought the straighter line was the edge and wasn't sure if the more bent line was fluid of some sort. That explains it! Any guesses on gender? 🙂

To me that looks like what they measure as part of the NT - but it's not accurate this early like they said - I think you need to be a minimum 11+6 weeks

Firefliess · 26/11/2020 20:42

Could the straighter line (and the one above it roughly parallel) be the umbilical cord? But have to confess I'm no expect at all and just guessing!

America5 · 26/11/2020 20:48

@ivfbeenbusy yeah that's what I originally thought but I'm not too sure & yeah she said if I was 11+2weeks she could've performed it then but I was 11 weeks yesterday. To be honest I'd rather go back at 12 weeks in hope it's a more accurate measurement.

@Firefliess yeah that's another explanation actually I didn't even give the umbilical cord a thought so yeah it might be. I guess I'll know more next week, not too long to wait! Just hope all is ok with baby 🤞🏼
