I had a retained placenta for dc1 with manual removal (bleughhh)

Currently trying for dc1 so far unsuccessfully..wondering whether the removal has caused scarring/damage

those of you who had a retained placenta/manual removal did you have any difficulty conceiving no 2?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Hi there, had retained placenta with manual removal for dc1,
I had a couple of losses and now pregnant finally with dc2.
We struggled to conceive this bub, but after all tests/investigations, nothing suggested that I had any scarring.

Wishing you all the best😊😊

Sorry to hear about that OP, it's such a painful procedure. I had retained placenta and manual removal ( :( ) with DD in 2017. I also hemmoraged and had an infection and blood transfusion. DS is now due in February 2021 and we concieved in 15 days Blush

I honestly thought I would struggle to concieve again but I think it's just one of those roll of the dice things. I hope it won't be much longer for you :)

I had retained placenta with DC1 and haven't struggled to concieve my DC after that. I haven't had retained placenta again either.

Good luck!

I did 10 years ago. It took me 6 months to conceive again but I also have endometriosis. DS2 is 4 weeks now and I had no other issues.
