Hello everyone, just looking for advice on peoples own experince. Im due my 2nd child and i am 17 weeks pregnant. I had some bleeding a few days ago, bright red, a little more than spotting when i wiped and lasted a few mins. I went to MAC and was scanned, heartbeat listened to and pelvix exam. They could find no cause for the bleed although i found the exam very painful. My anxiety right now is sky high, i miscarried my first at 8 weeks and my last pregancy was filled with anxiety due to this and the fact i barely felt her move, i had an anterior placenta and she was just generally not a mover. Im just looking to see if anyone had similar experience and what the outcome was. I have experienced a bit kore pain this time in my back and what i believe is ligament pain but im putting it down to 2nd baby, i have tried to speak to my midwife to get the heartbeat checked in a couple of days but no such luck yet. I feel this has just my anxiety again and i cant help but feel like something bad will happen 😥

Hi. I’m currently going through the same as you and wondering what your outcome was? Did the bleed continue or did this stop as you were further along? X

Hello, nothing ever happened again so i presume it was just one of those things. I have strangely been suffering with nose bleeds this time round so im just wodering if im more sensitive this time round. Speaking to midwives this certainly seems more common than people realise but you should always get checked. He goes quiet every now and again and im under regular reviews due to another issue but none of this was related to my bleed x

Pleased it resolved itself! I did go and get checked and the hospital said cervix was closed and looked fine during examination, no obvious cause of bleeding however could be my placenta and to take it easy and rest up for the next 2 weeks! Can’t help but worry, 20 week scan is just over 2 weeks away so hoping that will give more reassurance and with a small hope my placenta may move as currently anterior!

Wishing you a healthy pregnancy 🥰

Fingers crossed all is well. Mine is anterior aswell, has been both times. Movements seem to be a bit better 2nd time round but if wver in doubt just go get checked. Ive already been 3 times, its better than sitting at home worrying x
