Hi everyone
I went for a growth scan today my first one and there was no fluid round baby and resistance of chord not pumping how they would hoped they have predicted weight of 3.5lb on the 3rd centile....the consultant said best to get baby out and feeding etc as doesnt want to leave her in there...first thing I asked was the survival and he was like not worried at all said am at a good gestation and heartbeat and trace are all good...feeling quite calm but cant sleep at all!!!
Anyone been through similar?

Wishing you all the best❤

TenThousandSpoons0 · 25/11/2020 04:51

All the best! Assume you’re having some steroids too. Outcomes are really good at 34 weeks and your baby will be very well looked after - hopefully not needing to stay too long in the newborn unit.

I haven't, but good luck! I don't know if you've had a c section before, but it's absolutely nothing to be worried about. All the best Flowers

The premature board has of experienced folks.

At 33 weeks your baby should experience very few if any long term problems. C sections aren't so bad either, just take those painkillers! All the best with your new arrival.

Oh she's lovely! I hope you're doing okay too Thanks

Happyheartlovelife · 25/11/2020 15:58

Me

I had 2 babies with IUGR. My first weighed like a 26 weeker. At 32 weeks. My second weighed a 30 weeker at 35 weeks.

Both needed time in neo natal xxx please pm me if you’d want more info xx or a hand hold xx

Happyheartlovelife · 25/11/2020 15:59

My first was 2lbs. My second was 3lbs

But mine did have very severe IUGR. Most 33 workers are around 3.5lbs. So if you’re close to that. You’re good

Some babies do better outside the womb as did mine

Happyheartlovelife · 25/11/2020 15:59

Oh. Congrats. Fabulous weight!!!!!!

Massive congratulations xx

lolabears · 25/11/2020 16:02

Congratulations op! She's lovely

MnM156 · 25/11/2020 16:09

Wow I am so happy for you! The baby looks wonderful! I am getting induced because the baby is too small and not growing in there. I feel so positive and hopeful after seeing your baby as mine is of similar weight. Congratulations to you!!! 😍

Soontobe60 · 25/11/2020 16:20

Congratulations!! To think she’s been born a year earlier that expected!!

McRibpain · 25/11/2020 17:07

Oh, look at her! She's perfect, just gorgeous. Congrats! Flowers

elliejjtiny · 25/11/2020 20:04

Congratulations. Sounds like she is doing really well. My 2 premature babies (35+3 and 36+6) both needed cpap, drips, oxygen etc.

bringitomm · 25/11/2020 20:07

Congratulations! ♥️

GirlCalledJames · 25/11/2020 20:10

I was born at the same gestation myself with restricted growth issues and have never had any problems from it. I had a premature baby after growth issues myself (completely unrelated, different issues) and he is a healthy two year old.

Ah wow she's absolutely perfect 😍 congratulations!

Mammyofasuperbaby · 25/11/2020 20:26

Congratulations, she's beautiful. Both of mine were iugr babies. 33+2 weeks weighing 2lbs 14oz and a 36 weeker weighing 5lbs 3oz . Both are happy and healthy now. My 33 weeker had a 5 week hospital stay but he had some feeding issues but that's pretty uncommon most stays are about 3 weeks at that gestation.
Survival rate is in the high 90s so just focus on how well your little girl is doing. Premies are called superheros for a reason.

Humpty11 · 25/11/2020 20:31

@Laurend0603 oh congratulations, what a beautiful, perfect little dot 😍. I hope you’re recovering well and she’s not in NICU for too long.

ChristmasSlayRide · 25/11/2020 20:34

Well done, congratulations to you all. She's perfect.

Laurend0603 · 25/11/2020 21:25
