Signs of labour or wishful thinking?

I’m currently 37+3 and due to be induced next week because of GD and concerns about slowed growth. For the last couple of days I’ve had a few symptoms and I wondered if these might be a sign that spontaneous labour may be coming soon - or am I just kidding myself?

Symptoms are:

Bump has massively dropped

Feels like a huge weight is in my pelvis

Mild period cramp type feeling on and off all day

Increased discharge

General digestive discomfort / abdominal discomfort

Are these just normal 37 weeks things, or about-to-go-into-labour things?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I didn’t have any signs of impending labour with DC1 or DC2 until my waters went.

Even if they aren’t signs for you, it really won’t be much longer.

@Wickerbaskets I think they must be normal, I'm 37+4 and having all the same things, including really strong braxtons that I keep thinking oh ill start timing them im having a lot and then they stop 😅 went for a long (well, long for me) walk today and nothing except an extremely aching pelvis!

Sounds like babies head may have engaged but unfortunately not a sign of labour

I'm 39 weeks and have been having all those signs for weeks unfortunately so I wouldn't get your hopes up! x

Rats 🤣 looking like induction it is then!
