I am expecting baby girl EDD 3rd april in a cold country...
This baby gap snowsuit only comes with size 0-6M, will it be too big for her to wear from birth?

I imagine it will be enormous on a newborn

SpillingTheTea · 23/11/2020 16:10

Yes.

100% that will be far far too big for a newborn. I bought an up to 1 month Snowsuit which was equivalent to up to 10lbs for my LB. He was 8lbs 1oz and it was massive!

SpillingTheTea · 23/11/2020 16:11

You need 0-3m.

Ok thanks!!!!
Found one 0 to 3 M so will get that instead.
It's lovely too :)

Thank you x

Have a look at a website which gives weights or measurements, rather than just months. That will be huge

HeeeeyDuggee · 23/11/2020 16:13

I suspect (from personal experience) it will be massive. They’re also such a massive hassle to get on newborns and small babies who like to
Be scrunched up

My DD looked very lost in a 0-3 month one!

JumperooSue · 23/11/2020 16:21

Even 0-3 will drown a newborn I think! Try 0-1 month, I got one from H&M which took my daughter still a month or so to grow in to and she was 7lb at birth so pretty average

OP it depends on the size of your baby! My LG finally fit into 0-3 clothes at 11 weeks (we first wore tiny baby, than 0-1mth). I bought a 0-1month snowsuit in Tesco that fit her (massively big in the beginning) from when she was born in December through April (when she no longer needed it). She can still fit her 6-9month sleepsuits and clothes at 11.5 months, although is comfier in 9-12 (but only in the last two weeks). She wasn’t born tiny (+7lbs) and likes her food but is narrow. Other babies born at the same time have been in 12-18 months for ages! And some in 18-24.

My tip to myself in hindsight would be not to buy too much. As clothing for babies is fairly seasonal (May in the Uk was suddenly warm. Long sleeved wool suits weren’t going to work! No matter how cute they were).
