Loss of pregnancy symptoms

Hi everyone,

I’m 4 weeks plus 5, and a bit worried I’ve lost all my symptoms.

From 3 weeks plus 2 I had constant cramps and aches in my uterus, my boobs were swollen and sore and I felt like I was. Now I have nothing, feel normal.

The sudden loss of symptoms is making me worry something is going wrong.

Has anyone had this before?

Hi, symptoms will come and go it's perfectly normal ☺️ I had nothing until 6 weeks, felt AWFUL between 6-12 weeks, I'm now nearly 15 weeks and finally starting to feel like myself again. Try not to worry it's very early on still xx

Tesa123 · 22/11/2020 08:53

Aw thank you so much for replying!! And congratulations :) I think I’m worrying because I did have symptoms and now they have gone. If I didn’t have any I think I would be ok. I also had a previous chemical at 4 weeks so anxiety is a bit high.

Think I’m going to try get myself though to 6-7 and book an early scan! X

I remember this worry well! The only symptom I really had early on was sore boobs, and it would sometimes randomly disappear. It's just your body adjusting to the hormones.

Tesa123 · 22/11/2020 09:19

Thank you for replying! The worry isn’t fun :/

Nothing I can do either way is there so just need to try go with it for now and not worry so much

Hi @Tesa123 I had similar symptoms to begin with, and then like you I panicked like mad as they seemed to have left me.

I’m now 8 weeks, no real symptoms other than fatigue and bigger boobs. I had an early reassurance scan on Thursday making me 7+4 and everything was absolutely fine, a strong and healthy heartbeat so try not to worry xx

Tesa123 · 23/11/2020 18:11

Thank you for letting for me know! 5 weeks tomorrow and the cramps have started to come back, and tender boobs.

How was the reassurance scans by the way? I’ve been thinking about having one but heard a lot of mixed things about it. Was it a a tummy of vaginal one?

And congratulations :) xx

Up until eight weeks my symptoms were on and off and I understand it's so worrying but try not to worry! I was like "god I wish I'd just have a symptom that stuck so I wasn't constantly worried" and I ended up with Hyperemesis Grin be careful what you wish for eh haha but congratulations on your pregnancy Thanks

Vogue1992 · 23/11/2020 18:47

@Tesa123 Ha ha you spoke too soon 😄

Personally, the early reassurance scan helped to calm my anxiety, especially when I could see / hear a heartbeat as I had a MMC June 2019 so I’ve been on edge analysing anything / everything. As far as the imagery went, I could see the baby but it’s more of a ‘bean’, you see a lot more in a few weeks time but as I said just knowing everything was in the right place and a heartbeat has calmed my nerves drastically.

I had an abdominal scan. Thank you, congratulations to you too. Is this Baby #1? xxx

Tesa123 · 23/11/2020 19:04

That is good to know. Yes first baby, I had a MC June this year, so you’ll know exactly these type of feelings.

One moment I want to get the reassurance scan but I think my partner will think I’m being dramatic and just need to chill. The next I’m like just wait for 12.

But I don’t think I can enjoy this journey until I know there is a heartbeat.

X

Get an early scan if it will help you. Smile

FWIW, I had no pregnancy symptoms at all!

strawberryjelly21 · 23/11/2020 20:43

I had an early scan at 8 weeks, just really due to anxiety that something would be wrong and 12 weeks feels like a lifetime when it's you that's pregnant! Although it was expensive I would do it again for the peace of mind Smile I have also had dips in my symptoms, but just try to remember I won't feel the same way everyday!

RainbowRED81 · 23/11/2020 21:33

I’m also worried about a lack of symptoms! I’m 5wks 3 days and this is my 11th pregnancy. I only have one living child and lost all of the others. Having suffered so many miscarriages I’m on edge all the time. And constantly symptom checking! With my only successful pregnancy I had all day horrendous nausea from weeks 4–20 but I’ve not had any this time! I know I should count myself lucky but it just doesn’t feel like a good thing when all you read about it how the sickness means healthy baby! I have an early scan booked on the 3rd December at the EPU and praying we see a heartbeat x

Tesa123 · 24/11/2020 10:49

So sorry to hear all you have been through!! The anxiety is unreal isn’t it :( fingers crossed for your scan everything will be ok. Keep me updated.

I had another freak out this morning as I’m 5 weeks but clear blue is saying 2-3. I’m worried things are not progressing!

Going to drive myself mad I think x

Vogue1992 · 24/11/2020 12:21

Hi @Tesa123 don’t pay too much attention to the ClearBlue, I know a lot of people have problems with it not progressing.

Did you use your first urine of the day? 2-3 weeks is right as you need to add two additional weeks which puts you at 5 weeks. Once you are approaching the end of week 5 it will probably go up. That’s what happened with me.

I have quite a testing addiction even after my scan, I tend to test once / twice a week. A very anxious time and understandably after a MC xx

RainbowTime · 25/11/2020 06:30

@Tesa123 I’m sure this is normal. I’m admittedly not the best person to ask as I’ve had 5 pregnancies with no lives babies but every pregnancy has had on/off symptoms (when they were initially going fine!).

Got an early scan today 6+2 as I’m under a recurrent miscarriage consultant and haven’t slept so I’m certainly with you on the nerves/anxiety side. Plus pretty sure I know the outcome as I’ve done what you have in doing repeat home urine tests which have all come back lighter than my initial one so it hasn’t helped my pregnancy related anxiety at all.

Hope everyone is well and hope your scan goes seamlessly xx

Vogue1992 · 25/11/2020 10:54

@RainbowTime hope everything goes OK at your scan today lovely xx

firsttimemumm31 · 25/11/2020 13:25

@Tesa123 Thank you for posting this I've been super stressed! I'm 5 weeks to and today suddenly felt normal and panicked! Did the worst thing I could do and turned to Dr Google and then my anxiety increased! X

Tesa123 · 25/11/2020 13:57

@firsttimemumm31 yup Google is the worst!!
I feel a little calmer this week as my boobs are sore again and getting the odd stretch. Don’t have any other symptoms, no fatigue or sickened which I’m thankful for.

Really can drive yourself crazy. But I guess end of the day, if the worst is going to happen it’s going to happen. There is literally nothing you can control. No point getting yourself worked up before it has happened.

Just make sure we rest and look after our bodies and hopefully we have successful pregnancies x
