Hello everyone,

So I’m just looking for some advice really and someone to settle my mind a little as epu not a massive help but I don’t know if that’s because it’s nothing to worry about so I have an early 8 week scan booked in for Monday as I found out on the 4th and that evening had bright reddish/pink (Not like normal period) it was only when I went for a wee and lasted about 3 wipes then the next day I had it was almost like pinky/purple discharge though on and off only when wiped the next day nothing and then the day after like orangey this was the only time it had like small stringy bits in on this wee rest of the day was just orange was not as often this day and then it stopped! panic over

But then... since Friday evening it’s been back again on and off apart from on Sunday when I woke up at 5am bursting for a wee and went to the toilet and it was the reddish/pink again for 3 wipes and since then it’s just been like pinky discharge sometimes it lasts for a couple of wipes sometimes only one and it’s not always every wee it has a mild metallic smell to it which isn’t the most comfortable just want it to stop ☹️

I still have sore boobs, past 2 days I’ve recent had some lumps come up around my nipples which I read is normal pregnancy sign? My nausea is still there I’m still being sick at least once a day and food aversions are still there still feel tired and super emotional and as sad as it may sound with the discharge/bleeding whatever it is I’ve just got in my head I’m not pregnant and I’m going to have this scan and nothing be there and my symptoms are in my head (even though I guess some of them can’t be) or that it could be eptopic but have read threads on them and they seem to have a lot more bleeding than I have? I’m just wondering if anyone can help me or had similar experience good or bad! I don’t really have any pain just a little achey stretch pain if that makes sense! Haven’t rang the epu this time as they seem to not want to know unless it’s heavy bleeding and clots 🤷🏼‍♀️ Thanks for reading if you got this far and any answers are really appreciated x

@JellyJ12 hello, didn't want to read and run. Wish I could help but I am thinking that as long as it isn't heavy bleeding then I would assume all is well. Could be the body adjusting. Fingers crossed, I would still call up the EMU or 111 just for reassurance. Wish you all the best

JellyJ12 · 18/11/2020 18:16

@feistymumma thank you! Any reply is good for me I just feel a little lost with it all! I’ll give them a call in the morning and see what they say thank you again

Hi @JellyJ12

Sorry I can’t be of any help either but definitely worth calling 111 for a chat or if you have a midwife yet?

Hopefully everything is fine xxx

I have had 2 pregnancies and 2 chemicals. 1 pregnancy ended in an missed miscarriage just under 12 weeks, the other was successful. My MMC I had regular bleeding from 6 to 8 weeks. 2 scans in that time both showing a healthy growing baby. Then no more bleeding and I assumed all would be well. When I miscarried I had bad cramps, especially in my back. 5hey were similar to early labour and really heavy bleeding. My healthy pregnancy I bled lightly as you are describing all through the first trimester and all was well with the baby. That sort of bleeding sounds like the bleeding you get when your cervix is irritated or the placenta nicks a blood vessel in the endometrium while growing etc. Especially if not accompanied by cramps. So please don't stress too much. Of course nothing is certain in early pregnancy but you are just as likely to have no bleeding, plenty of symptoms and problems as light bleeding and problems. My two chemicals, I had sore boobs and awful morning sickness for 2 weeks after miscarrying. I have one friend who bled so heavily through every pregnancy that she was hospitalised a few times. She has 3 healthy children.

@July21Baby Thank you for the advice, no midwife yet but will chase that up and see if I can speak to someone that way xxx

@Brenna24 Thank you so much for taking the time to write and explain that, I’m sorry to hear it hasn’t been easy for you but it has put me at rest a little knowing you’ve had similar experience going to make a call tomorrow and see who I can speak to then await Monday for the scan and see what that brings!

Thank you all again

Hi @JellyJ12 I’m 7 weeks as well and experienced bleeding at the weekend but have really struggled to get a scan. Have finally opted for a private scan this Fri as can’t stand the not knowing but noted that you have a scan booked for Mon. Tbh I think it is worth letting your epu know that you’re still experiencing symptoms but I doubt they’ll get you a scan earlier than Mon so will be keeping fingers crossed for you then, good luck and keep us posted.

JellyJ12 · 18/11/2020 18:47

Hello @fib11235 thank you that’s good to know we’re in the same boat with timings! Was your bleeding heaving or similar? Yes I’m thinking it’s a good idea to let them know they did say their lines are always open for questions when I first rang but just advised they didn’t need to see me until the scan or unless it got bad which it hasn’t, symptoms just seem to be dragging on but not worsening so I suppose in a way that’s a positive. I will keep you all updated thank you good luck with yours as well I hope it works out well for the both of us and can put our minds at rest! Worrying is awful on top of being emotional as well. All the best
