I'm really hoping someone can help or offer advice, either from a medical opinion or someone who has been through similar.

I'm 11 weeks pregnant and have had sporadic light bleeding, therefore a couple of early reassurance scans.

Both of which have identified a clot or area of bleed next to the baby.

I'm terrified.

I had one and it was reabsorbed by 20 weeks.

Hi

I had similar, bled on and off for a few weeks whilst the bleed reabsorbed. Its a terrifying time but the advice given was rest as much as possible and no sex till your 2 weeks with no bleeding and to Take your folic acid at night around 8pm. (No idea why so specific).

For reassurance im now 28+6 with bump measuring on the 97th centile so bleed hasn't done any harm.

Try to keep calm and positive, easier said than done i know xx

I had one - I started bleeding right before 12 weeks. I then bleed every couple of weeks for a couple of days. My last bleed was just around 18 weeks, where I had a very big bleed that lasted a week. My scan at 20 weeks showed it had been reabsorbed\expelled, and I'm now 27 weeks.

I had 5 heavy bleeds before 13w. An area of bleed showed up on the scan I had (due to assumed miscarriage) at 9w and again at 12w. My last bleed was the day before my 12w scan. I had another scan at 16w (due to a different scare!) - baby was fine and no area of bleed mentioned, so it seems to have stopped. Fingers crossed it goes ok for you.

Hi I’ve been in the same position with a bleed that started at 8 weeks and went on sporadically for about another 8. My first bleed was a big gush while on a weekend away so v scary! As others have experienced mine also seems to have reabsorbed and I now have a healthy 3 year old! It was very scary and I took it very easy, minimised walking, took taxis to work etc until it resolved. Hope all goes well for you - take care x
